Staybridge Suites - Columbus - Worthington, an IHG Hotel

The room smells very musty from upon entering. There was a box fan running in the room which made us curious. The room was warm, but we left pretty quickly to go get food. Upon leaving the room, the thermostat said 76 degrees. I bumped it down to 67, when we returned several hours later, the thermostat still read 76 degrees, now we know why the box fan was in there. I called to see about getting a different room but there weren’t any others and there was no one to fix the air. In the morning getting ready for our son’s graduation, the room got up to 80 degrees.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and there were few options for their breakfast. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

No hot water for the length of our stay. Pool was shut down for maintenence the whole time we were there, I booked this hotel specially because they had an outdoor pool. Breakfast was supposed to be from 630 to 10. We went at 730 and waited an hour for them to restock food, the fountain soda machine and juice was all out of order so we just went to a restaurant for breakfast. The room was really large and clean and nice but other than that, it was nothing as advertised. I was refunded $25 becauae of the hot water issue even though i didnt request it so thats a plus.

We booked a non-smoking room, but the room we were provided had been unused for multiple days as a smoker had been in the room prior and there was still a heavy smoke smell the second you entered room, the next room offered had a portable ac and fan, yet the room was still 80 at all time and very very loud. We ended up leaving and staying at a different hotel due to these issues.

The pool was not open all week. The a/c was not working, paint was falling off the ceiling. There was black mold on ceiling of the bathroom. Breakfast was bismal. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. In short I will never stay again…

Was not well kept. Bottom of bath tub peeling, shower curtain ripped. Ice maker broken.

Hotel was comfortable clean and had a good smell. Supplies were readily available and our room was spacious. The couch pullout bed wasnt really cozy but it worked for us.

Had an unrentable room and was refused a refund. No ac and portable unit was not cooling (temperatures in the room were over 80 degrees), not a functioning kitchen (refrigerator did not work, sink leaked on the floor, dishwasher fell right out of the counter, one pot, three forks and four plates), rented two rooms that were not ready at check-in time. Two towels in each room when we told them 5 people in one room and 4 in the other. No towels for the pool. Breakfast was not cooked properly (cold sausage) and not kept stocked. Kids were sick from the food and that hot room. Had to cut the trip short and lost the money for tickets that were already purchased before arrival. And good luck getting a car out of the parking lot with all the craters in the parking lot. I drive a pickup and that was rough on that truck.

Worst Staybridge suites I have ever stayed in. It’s clear whoever is in charge of this hotel does not care. The pool was out of service all week with no notice in advance. Overflowing trash cans outside. Zero housekeeping, even though it was specifically requested twice. The breakfast bar was abysmal as well, and of the three mornings we had there, not once was their coffee available…at breakfast. Hope you or your kids like to take a shower at the same time as your bath because the showerhead does not turn off, no matter what. Unloading a lot of luggage? Hope you’re ready for a work out, because there’s only one service cart for the entire hotel!.. and if you are lucky enough to acquire it, it functions more as a sled than a cart, obviously needing service a long time ago. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to any families, or anyone expecting any basic amenities. We’ve stayed at many Staybridge suites in the past, and this is hands down, not even in the same league as our previous experiences. This is more on par with a $50 cheap hotel , not the 120 a night we paid. Obviously will never be back here. Avoid if you can.

When i received my room keys and went to my room. I noticed a horrible smell, used food cups, bed wasnt made and that the room belonged to someone else already. I immediately let house keeping know and the front desk staff what happened. This was unsafe for me and my family, i most likely will not book a room at this location
