Roundhouse Hotel Bournemouth

I had emailed hotel and triedcall about early check-in but no reply when i explained this the reception just said room would not be ready the room itself was disgusting the bath had dead flys lying in it the room was so hot we could not sleep and to make things worse the cleNer just walked in on my wife without knocking whilst my wife was undressed and the receptionist did not want to know

My experience at check-in was not so good as i was being told i had been moved to another hotel despite booking a week ahead. The receptionist was also very adamant about handling my complaints, and rather kept repeating that i am free to cancel the booking which felt was very rude. Thanks to a superior who came and sorted out the issue. If bookings cannot be honoured, guests should be notified early enough so they can make alternative arrangements.

Good breakfast, fast check in, overall an acceptable 3 star hotel. Bathroom and doors etc could do with a deep clean and more toilet paper so residents don't have to ask for them. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the beach along meyrick rd or 15 mins along bath road. Nearby are a few little takeaways and restaurants including kfc. Dont agree with the extra parking charges as it should be free for residents. Overall its not too bad for your money.

Clean room, friendly staff, excellent position cose to the beach and pier

Check in quick, lots of parking spaces and staff friendly. Room terrible. Door wouldn’t lock properly without slamming. Stained carpet coming away from the wall, curtains dirty, headboards on bed revolting, fixtures and fitting dated. Bathroom coming apart- loose tiles door no lock and horrible. On a plus side bedding and towels were fresh and clean. Would definitely never stay here again even though £105 per night or recommend.

Probably the worst place that I have ever stayed. We needed to book two nights near Bournemouth last minute over a weekend during August and so this was pretty much the only place with availability. Super dated and run down. The hallways are dark and scary. Carpets in the bedroom need a good clean and proper hoover. Had to wiggle the wire in the back of the tv to make it work. Hairdryer in the room sounded like it was about to explode. They did quickly bring a replacement. Inwards looking room facing a roof terrace filled with empty cider cans and one of the hottest rooms I’ve ever had to sleep in.

On arrival it was clear that I had mobility issues but I was allocated a room on the 5th floor. The room was very small and the temperature inside was unbearable. We did have a fan but this provided limited relief. The room had a small window which was open was was insufficient to provide adequate ventilation. The bathroom didn’t have sufficient fan to clear steam when running the shower/bath. The breakfast selection was very limited and in the main the cooked food was not very hot and served on cold plates which made the food cold very quickly. Apart from 3 cereal choices there wasn’t any other options, ie fruit, croissants, bread. There was an incident with a member of public using abusive language and being rude and aggressive to a hotel guest and this had to be dealt with by another hotel guest as the restaurant staff were unable to neutralise the situation. The only benefit we found was that this is a pet friendly hotel and we did bring our small dog along with us

On the plus side, hotel well located with on site parking. Staff were efficient and helpful. Rooms very tired and basic. Bath very stained from bath mat. Refurbishment well overdue.

Not a great experience… the furniture is very old, doors are very noisy, rooms very close at the point you can clearly hear everyone …we barely slept. I won’t come again!

I didn’t get the room I had booked and felt some staff was not very welcoming.
