Exe Rey Don Jaime Hotel

Close to opera house, science museum and the greenspace that connects to the old town. Really nice.

The hotel is good! It’s certainly more like 3.5 out of 4 stars just because it’s aging a bit but it’s clean and nice. The bathroom door slides and ours really didn’t work well. So it was like dragging a door closed. The breakfast was good and the coffee quite good as well, especially since the machine ones are usually not great. This one was good though! Location isn’t bad either

OK hotel...certainly not 4 Star. Our room was extremely tatty and so was the bathroom. The flooring was coming up everywhere....it should not have been rented out in this state. However, worst was the absolutely horrendous stench on our floor (6th). We complained immediately and was told that the manager would be informed. The manager already knew from other complaints and just made futile attempts to cover the stench up with some kind of freshner. The breakfast was excellent. Be warned, there are lots of large events/bookings....so, breakfast on 2 days was like a cattle market with hundreds of people. Also, just 3 elevators.....we waited over 15 minutes one evening. On reaching the reception, we found over 50 people waiting for the elevator. We would not return.

Clean and good service. Be careful to drive in to the underground parking the entrance was so tight.

The property can't offer a Triple Room at 300-400 euros per night, stazing they have a TV working in the room, while they know very well the room is not connected to Cable / SAT services, but just to aerial TV with 2 local channels only. Air-condition was not working because it is spring (not summer yet...) but this not Scandinavia. 26°c is quite hot... the closet was not in the room but in the bathroom... really? Is this the right place for keeping my clothes? Near to the water, impregnated with the humidity of the shower room and odor of the toilet room?

Nice hotel. Very central. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast choices very good. Staff friendly & helpful. Overall very central, plenty of buses. Restaurants and cafes near the hotel. On the other hand, room aircon didn't work, no tea and coffee facilities in rooms (drinks available from the bar). First floor corridors had unpleasant smell, and plenty of noise from the service duct in the bathroom.

Enjoyed my stay. Professional staff.

They do not reply your email or message. We checked in with a staff without any smile. I thought I was in Russia. Hahahhaa

I would highly recommend Exe. We stayed on a half-board basis, and the food in both, breakfast and dinner, were outstanding. So was the service provided by all the staff members everywhere, dining, and lobby. Very close to the more modern section of the City; yet still walkable (30 min) to old town.
