Exe Rey Don Jaime Hotel

Great stay with Eurostar! Had a few issues caused by booking with Expedia but the hotel staff handled the issues beautifully and worked with us each time. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are excellent. Would stay here again!

The bathroom door didn't close all the way and some of the floor slabs were loose.

Every single noise was heard even from upstairs. Bathtub super small. Room was given 3 hrs after check in not good lady was dismissive at the front desk I had to go up and ask for the keys about 30 minutes later.

I will never stay here again. Obviously 4* doesn’t mean what it used to. During our recent winter stay, Valencia has been unseasonably warm and in spite on room temps approaching 30celcius, there was nothing they could (or would?) do to enable cooling the room. Needless to say, 3 nights of zero sleep. They changed us to another room but it was just the same. We paid for an upgraded room and it was a joke. The condition of the floors was well past the point where they should have been replaced. Laminate plank floors which had gaps that were perfect to stub your toes on. They also had lots of water damage. The pool was closed - fine, it’s winter but the access to it is down a back hallway that’s like a hidden forgotten space. Ditto for the sun terrace - which we didn’t try to access because the door said emergency access only which where I come from means a fire alarm is going off if you go through that door. Another ditto for the “gym”, a term which I use loosely…you have to go outside, past the pool access and open another glass door - no cooling, south/west facing so extremely hot. The gym contained a small rack of free weights, 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical (non-programmable) and one stationary bike also very basic, not programmable. The lobby and public areas of the ground floor have a very unpleasant odour of air freshener that must be getting pumped in as it is constant and unbearable. If you have asthma, this is likely not the place for you. One word to describe? Horrible!!

Nice hotel.

I reserved a courtyard view but they give me a with no view at all but a pipe duct. Parking garage door can not open automatically need to go outside and open the dirtydoor by hand, terrible at all.

Located 1.5km from city center - bus stops 200m to go everywhere - room is good but no tea coffee facilities - room safe is quite used and hard to press the numbers - very busy hotel - check process takes long time - breakfast good but need some variety - overall nice stay

Overall ok, and at a reasonable price for the location. However, the double bed is two singles, the beds are uncomfortable. The gym, is hidden down a dark and I would say, dangerous unlit path. The gym is in need to care, the pool was closed throughout. There is no indication of room charges in the room. The food in the bar is good if simple.

Great location for science and art centres. Quick bus ride to city centre. Good selection at breakfast, room spotless and all staff really helpful.
