The Jug & Glass Inn

Came off the high peak trail and stopped here for a drink and some food. It was a Sunday but they had a good choice on the menu not just Sunday lunch!! Food was good and portion sizes were good we had a kids Sunday lunch, 2 x steak pie and steak in peppercorn sauce. Empty plates all around followed by desserts!! Staff were polite, service was good would recommend and would return!!

very good value for money, breakfast was very nice, rooms was ok, but pub itself is a little run down and could do with a refresh and some nee furniture Landlady was very friendly.

A lovely get away from it all pub with a great breakfast every morning and a good menu for the evening. A short drive from the village of Hartington.

Excellent breakfast cooked to order - great tea and coffee Bedroom was nicely laid out, well appointed; mattress a bit too soft - rather heavy duvet for summer - nice coffee set up in room.

Overall we had a lovely stay. Rooms are clean although a little dated. Curtains could do with blackout lining as outside security light on all night. No smart tv in the room. Food was great and hospitality top notch!

Great place to stay for exploring the peak district. Very quiet, comfortable rooms and good value meals served in the pub . Would definitely stay again.

A good menu of classic food available, meals were large, tasty and hot from the kitchen. Lovely bar staff and two gorgeous very well behaved dogs behind the bar. We’d definitely recommend the pub as somewhere to go for either a drink, food or both 😊
