Kings Courtyard Inn

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed every part of our visit. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious, and the wine and cheese reception was a lovely touch that made the experience feel extra special. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the hotel’s convenient location made it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would gladly stay here again.

Kings Courtyard Inn was a perfect spot for a leisurely four days in Charleston. Loved everything about it. Quaint and charming. Staff very helpful and welcoming. The continental breakfast is served to you, not buffet style. Easy to have a tray brought up to your room. But nicer to sit in one of the inside or outside courtyards with fountains. Good wines served each evening that varied daily. Sherry in the evening was such a nice touch. Comfortable room with four poster bed. Perfect location. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

great continental breakfast delivered to room. great location. even with elevator, there are stairs. evening wine was nice but guests did not mingle.

Great location, staff were really helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than I expected with sit down service. The only downside was the $35 /night parking.

We were seeking a more affordable option in Charleston and thought we would give this hotel a try. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. You can't beat the location as it sits directly on King Street. We unpacked our bags and headed across the street to 167 Raw and had a fabulous dinner. 5 minute wait - I put our names on the list and had enough time to dip bsck over the Inn and change my clothes real quick. Check in is a little tricky as you need to navigate to the back of the parking lot - there is new construction going on but the Inn has 2 dedicated parking spaces reserved for load in - load out. There is a ramp there but it is a little challenging to weave your way to the back of the Inn on the narrow brick walkway. Its doable but not convenient for anyone disabled or using a walker. But, parking ($35) is a short walk away (on the other side of the construction). Reception will guide you and help you with all the details. We didnt have a chance to enjoy the wine and cheese reception but we saw a nice group of folks enjoying that in their breakfast nook area and adjacent courtyard. We opted to have breakfast in the breakfast room - there were ample offerings from the continental menu. I have a lovely heated croissant with fresh fruit and my husband had a toasted bagel with fresh fruit. You could also get hard boiled eggs, yogurt and juice. You can also have breakfast in your room, which is a nice ammenity. Rooms were small but had nice touches like an antique armoire, mini fridge and cottage style lighting. We had a queen bed and it was quite comfortable. Linens were crisp and curtains were actually a nice linen with extra privacy roller blinds. Room was exceptionally quiet, even though they offered a sound machine at bedside. Overall, it was like staying at a family house. A little quirky and different layout but very welcoming and cozy.
