Location

Great location close the old town and also within walking distance of a subway station. The apartment has everything you could want, including a well equipped kitchen and a cozy living room. We didn’t use the kitchen that much though, because there are plenty of great food options nearby! Our host Maria was very attentive and provided clear instructions for checking in and out.

If I had to change anything, I would make the double bed a bit more firm, but that’s probably a matter of personal preference.

We liked that our host met us on arrival, explained all services and called a taxi for us when we wanted to leave.

The crockery was in a cupboard high above the fridge. We needed a stool to reach, which may be a problem for older people.

Good location, just outside the old town and close to public transport. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The host Maria was extremely helpful, and kindly let us drop our bags off a bit early, pre check in.

The apartment is on the first floor next to the main entrance so there was a bit of noise from people entering/leaving the apartment, but not late into the night and it didn’t disturb our sleep

Cleanliness. The apartment was well presented and, aside from lack of air-conditioning, was well equipped. Host was very friendly and helpful and was quick to respond to queries or provide information via Whatsapp.

The lack of air-conditioning was an issue during our summer stay. We had to hastily re-book an alternative property due to uncertainty over Aer Lingus flights and didn't anticipate the upturn in temperature and didn't expect it to be so humid without the air-con. This would deter me from returning. One of the window blinds in the rear bedroom fell down after our first day which meant people could see into the bedroom at night. The communal external space at the rear of the apartment complex ( managed by another party admittedly ) was very untidy. The process for collecting the keys at time of check-in was overly complicated - we were instructed to collect keys from a restaurant in the Old Town and our transport taxi driver was not prepared to make multiple stops. I had to leave my family outside the apartment block for about 20 minutes until I walked briskly to the restaurant and returned with the keys. This would not suit older or less mobile people or indeed families with small children. This process could be improved.

The location of the property is great. Near subway station, grocery stores, easy access to downtown by feet. Also a lot of playgrounds around for children. It was clean, bedding and linens were comfortable and extra were provided. The property has everything you need to stay for a full week with 2 young kids : dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, kitchen, fully equipped... The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious enough. Maria was very responsive and very kind.

The apartment is on ground floor nearby the entrance which makes it very noisy. We can hear the entry door when opening and closing. The neighbor above is also very loud until very late at night making it difficult to sleep. There was a smell of humidity in the shower but after opening the window and pouring some water it got better. The shower is spacious and clean, but for some reason it was tough to get a "good" temperature, the water was either too hot or too cold, even when making very small changes. The couch is not very comfortable and could be changed, the back cushions kind of "fall on you", so it's hard to get a comfortable position.
