Kingsmill Resort

The staff is very helpful, however the rooms need an urgent renovation, they are dingy. The cleaninless of the room can be improved as my room had traces of the previous guest. The gym is well equipped but I noticed mats were not clean and overall guests did not wipe the equipment after use. The marina was wonderful.

While the amenities of the Kingsmill Resort are striving toward maximalism, the individual rooms suggest minimalism at best, with outdated decor, 2 towels per person for Friday through Sunday stay, empty shower shampoo dispenser, 6 coffee pods and 2 coffee cups with coffee maker that leaked all over the furniture, no microwave to reheat coffee or anything, ice bucket but ice delivery only upon request, no housekeeping services all weekend, 2 large bugs we smashed in the bathroom, over-crowded outdoor pool with no available seating, and a broken chain lock on the door. The amenities do offer a lovely golf course, a fitness center/spa, indoor pool, decent casual dining, and extremely nice staff! But to top it off, a $25 person per day “service” charge when we generously tipped staff for any and all services we received. Overall, we were disappointed in our “resort” experience at a cost of $350 per night, plus overpriced mostly average food. And bring your own water!

The amenities while very good, the room in Padget Ordinary were very dated and the bathroom tub was very worn and chipped.

We checked in at 1pm. We were given a substandard room that still had handyman’s corking still in bathroom tub and floors. Room very small and not clean. Had to pay $800 dollars more to get an upgraded room and had to wait almost 6hours for this new room and was told all other rooms had to be done first. This was way past check in time. Very inconvenient and man at desk very uncaring!

We just returned from a business golf event held at Kingsmill Resort. We all enjoyed a wonderful stay. The resort and all the amenities are top notch, and the entire staff is amazing. Each person we came in contact with went above and beyond to ensure our entire group was treated with exceptional care. Attention to detail really stands out. You will not be disappointed spending your time away from home at this magnificent resort.

I have been going here for close to 30 years. It started to deteriorate about 15 years ago. It is now really bad. Cleanliness is an issue they do not provide housekeeping unless requested. Sadly they don’t provide housekeeping when you do request it. When I was there 4 days and only received any cleaning 1 day. That included the night my 3 year old grandson soiled the sheets. They were incapable of changing 1 bed. Same is true for the rest of the facilities. Just don’t go.
