Kingsmill Resort

We had a great experience here. The staff was wonderful from check-in to waitstaff to housekeeping. Charlie at the pool was a highlight. He made the whole atmosphere awesome and fun. The food at the buffet and at the clubhouse restaurant were excellent and the wait staff was attentive and friendly. The gym was amazing and the pools were clean and maintained. We did not use the spa, but we walked in and it looked lovely. Maybe next time. The only not so great was that there is a lot of room noise and you can really hear your neighbors, so we had one good night and one night so good night for noise. The king beds were crazy hard and the units were a bit dated, but they were clean and had the basics.

I have been coming to Kingsmill since the 1980s and Kingsmill has changed over the years not always in a good way. The Covid years were a challenge but even then it was a place of refuge. The Resort has something for everyone - trivia at Eagles is loud and friendly. If you want peace and quiet then relax at the river and rejuvenate or try the spa. The marina restaurant has revised the menu and it has many new offerings. Make sure you make a stop at the new fitness center. It is world class. The main building where you check in has been refreshed with new paint and furniture and a new gift shop. I was pleased with the helpful and enthusiastic manner of the Kingsmill staff. Kingsmill is bustling!

We have been coming to Kingsmill for family vacation since 1996. We absolutely love the convenience to Busch Gardens and colonial Williamsburg. Took our 2.5 year old grandson for the first time in July 2025 - he absolute loved the pools. If you buy a park package you get shuttle service included ti and from the park - we enjoy that convenience to avoid the long lines to get in. The resort is as beautiful as ever and well kept. The rooms and amenities are beginning to show their age but the resort is constantly renovating areas so trying to stay on top of the age. We absolute love the cottages in the James and look forward to our next visit when the second grand baby turns 2.

Close to Busch Gardens and water. Friendly and helpful staff.

The River Pool was so much fun, and the food service was exceptional. The grandkids especially enjoyed being shuttled around the property in a golf cart! And everyone we encountered was friendly and accommodating.

Staff and river pool was excellent! Room was not clean the mirror had a prior message from a guest and there was a used wash cloth in my tub. Found an old package of NyQuil on the floor under the bed. Sheets had old stains. The walkway needed to be swept and there was stuff in the gutters on top of door. The amenities are excellent but the rooms are in desperate need of upkeep and upgrading. The bed felt like sleeping on a brick.

Multiple options for meals. View of golf course from patio was exceptional. Access to everything was walkable or a short cart ride, provided by the resort. Shuttles to Busch Gardens and Water Country to keep your personal vehicle on the property.
