Loyd Hall Plantation

It was too cold to evaluate the pool. The plantation is surrounded by sugarcane fields and stately oaks about 20 miles south of Alexandria in the Louisiana countryside. We visited on a full moon night. Check in was easy. The staff ensured we were settled in, then left. I mean they left completely. We were alone on the property. This lent a very real serenity on the one hand, and added to the haunted reputation on the other. Strolling through a misty, full moon night around the grounds of a 200 year old plantation could not have been more exhilerating. We slept well in cozy, homestyle cabins that used to be plantation worker housing on comfortable beds. Breakfast the next morning was in the main house among period antiques and topped off the stay. A true hidden, Louisiana gem worth a visit.

Beautiful home on wonderful property. I stayed 1 night in one of the cottages by the serene pool area. Peaceful and quiet. Room was comfy and had a fireplace. Great stay!

We have stayed at Lloyd Hall for years and we always have a pleasant and peaceful stay .. We had our two puppies this time and they were treated to breakfast pancakes too by Ms Angel .. All you have to do is message them if you need anything and they are right there to help. Great History with this place too. I would Highly recommended for anyone to stay here if you’re looking for a laid back peaceful stay in Louisiana . we will be back.

We always love our stay at Lloyd Hall. Angel took care of us with a great breakfast and even made our four legged babies a couple of pancakes. It’s so so peaceful there ..

Our stay was magnificent! The owners were quick to respond to every question or request we had. The sugar cane fields were getting harvested so that was an added bonus to our stay. The Commissary is comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served each morning upon request and was quite tasty. Angel is absolutely precious and a hard worker. No doubt we will stay here again and refer any friends or family who visit the area.

I fully enjoyed the accommodations. The host even left me a breakfast sandwich each morning in my fridge because I left before breakfast was served. I’ll be staying again bc of the convenience, peacefulness and accommodations, along with being close to my work location.

Beautiful cottages and property

We had a wonderful stay at the Lloyd Hall Plantation! Beautiful, historic, and charming place. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. We stayed in the Magnolia Cottage, but would love to check out one of the suites in the main house next time. Highly recommended!!!
