Hotel Santa Fe

Unfortunately we booked before seeing this place in person and admittedly we booked through booking.com - our bad and we will NEVER do that again. This hotel is a HUGE MISS. Yes the bed is comfy and the room is spacious. When people who have reviewed say outdated they are correct and not only outdated but old. When a dark carpet looks dirty you know there is a lot of yucky going on there. Pool and hot tub shutdown - no mention on their website and no mention upon check in. No coffee/ tea service in your room either. What? I have never seen that. They do have complimentary coffee in the morning - many people drink coffee and tea throughout the day. And those lush sanctuary gardens they mention - yeah, that’s in the patio of the restaurant, so you need to be in the restaurant to enjoy these lush garden areas they mention. That is pure craziness. If you’re like us and you read all the good reviews and think to yourself, heck, I can do outdated since it hits all the other marks, except it really doesn’t. They can’t control when the pool and hot tub goes down but they can let you know upon arrival and then maybe alter the daily resort fee. This is not a cheap hotel and it’s not cheap to stay here. I’m tired of being sold a line, paying a large $$$ and then the company not following through on their end. Disappointed we are here for 2-nights. Do yourself a favor and just find something else. It’s really not worth it.

Hotel Santa Fe Hacienda is very good. Soraida the butler is excellent. She is very hardworker, upbeat, friendly, helpful, kindness, always smile and compassionate. We are very thrill with her service and dedication. So far all are good, But Soraida is special. She will go above and beyond to accomodate everybody even to our family. The best butler that i have ever met. Defenitely bring us back to stay there whenever we visit Santa Fe.

The location was excellent Having the shuttle was very convenient.

Beautiful hotel and great location

Bed pillows are horrible. Not only are they way to small, smaller than standard size, they had only 2 on a king size bed, when it would take 4 to go across. Sad for this nice of place. Not a good sleep.

Walking distance to Old Town, excellent mattress and pillows, friendly and helpful staff, very good restaurant and bar, comfortable sitting area in our king suite. The coffee was great on the second floor but cups were too small for us java aficionados.

Bathroom was small, and traffic noise was noticeable at times. Only two elevators and one was dysfunctional and out of service. Initially, we thought our suite was overpriced--- until we saw the rates for some other quality Santa Fe hotels. Turns out it was a relative bargain!

Great location to take you places

Good location. Easy shuttle to go to center

Poorly run. Lost our dinner reservation fortunately restaurant not busy but left all doors open even when we asked for them to be closed as it was only 68 and windy Pool closed and we were not not told at time of booking so nowhere to sit outside. Yellow hazard tape blocking off the area around pool. Jacuzzi tepid one evening , One elevator out of order. Furniture in room old and scratched although comfortable. Room with balcony overlooking parking area and air conditioning unit.

The architecture and surrounding trees makes for a relaxing environment.

My friend and I stayed 2 nights, in the Hotel part of the complex (as opposed to the Hacienda building). All of the staff we met -- front desk, restaurant and housekeeping -- were most welcoming and responsive to questions about where to eat, directions, etc. The room was very clean and quiet, and the beds comfortable (we slept really well!). Although you can walk to many places, the hotel's shuttle service to the main Plaza area and surrounds is a very convenient resource. Love that the hotel is pet friendly too. The hotel does need a bit of refreshing (e.g., would replace the front door welcome mat), and that seems to be underway in a few places.
