ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort by IHG

We stayed for 4 nights in May and had a super time. Top 3 things we liked: 1. We upgraded our room to the Bay Wing - which is wonderful and newly renovated. Thank you to ARI on front desk for sorting this 2. Guided snorkelling with HIRO from the beach, where we swam with turtles and have amazing pictures 3. Services and à la carte lunches at Saltida restaurant. Thank you to GAGAN, and also for his great recommendations for places to visit in the port Things that can be improved: 1. Food in the evening buffet at Saltida is cold 2. The water park on the beach is expensive for guests - which is why there is usually nobody on it! 3. No double beds in the Ocean Wing - so not good for couples

Beautiful hotel and lovely food. Really enjoyed the pool slide and the beach being so close! The highlight of the trip was swimming with turtles - Hero was a fantastic guide and took amazing photos. Best experience of my life. However, the real star of this trip was Gagan, the restaurant manager. He is incredibly hard working, friendly and knowledgeable, and really goes the extra mile to make your trip special. He gave me and my family some local recommendations and we looked forward to seeing him around the hotel! The trip wouldn’t have been the same without him, so thank you Gagan - you are a star!!! ⭐ The rooms were always clean and the cleaning staff very friendly. Hotel gift shop was overpriced - in the local town you can buy the same items for 1/3 of the price.

It’s a decent location to the port and all the restaurants and bars. Easy 15 mins from the airport. Breakfast is good. Concierge couldn’t help to book us any restaurants which was disappointing but kept pushing local Collabs .. it’s a shame that this is the case. Gym is very much average we had to find one locally. It’s ok ..

Bon hôtel avec tous les services que ce genre d'hôtel offre. Personnel très compétent et toujours prêt à vous venir en aide. Chambre spacieuse et très bien équipée. Cuisine délicieuse. Le restaurant Teppanyaki un délice. Petit bémol il ferme à 22h00 et le personnel vous invite gentiment à quitter le restaurant le moment venu. Bonne situation géographique.

La nourriture du buffet du soir était plutôt bonne, les lits sont confortables, il y avait une baignoire et une douche et le personnel est plutôt serviable (un grand merci particulier à la jeune fille de l’accueil qui m’a aidé à retrouver mon portable le premier jour)

Nous avons été vraiment très déçus par cet hôtel. C’est censé être un 5 étoiles mais très honnêtement il est vraiment très très très loin du niveau d’un 5 étoiles. Nous étions dans la Océan Wing, je pense que la Bay Wing aurait été un meilleur choix. Au global, c’est un énorme complexe hôtelier, les installations sont vieillissantes, ce n’est pas très moderne. Les 3/4 du personnel parle à peine anglais, les restaurants sont absolument hors de prix c’est à la limite du honteux, on a essayé de m’expliquer que je ne pouvais pas aller à certaines piscines car ma chambre n’était pas dans la bonne aile du bâtiment, ils nous font faire la queue le matin pour choisir le restau du petit déj alors qu’il n’y a personne… La plage est agréable même si nous avons eu mauvais temps toute la semaine mais franchement au global le rapport qualité prix n’est pas du tout là et cet hôtel n’est pas du tout un 5 étoiles nous avons été très déçus
