ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort by IHG

We stayed at this hotel for almost a week and were initially a bit disappointed to learn that half of the property is accessible only to IHG Members. Most of the pictures shown on the hotel’s website feature this members-only area, so it was quite a shock when we were informed that we were only allowed to use the "kids" area. Snorkeling trips and other activities need to be booked well in advance. Unfortunately, the earliest availability we could get was for our fourth day. I would strongly recommend booking activities ahead of your stay, especially if you’re only visiting for two or three nights. Additionally, the beach features a large water playground for children that takes up almost the entire area. Outside of this zone, swimming is apparently not allowed. This means that instead of enjoying a natural beach view, you mainly see a large blue and green water park. However, our experience completely changed when we met Gagandeo, the F&B Manager. He approached us in a very friendly manner, and we started a conversation. After we shared some of our experiences, he truly went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I’ve seen many places, and Gagandeo is a true example of what hospitality is all about: kindness, passion, a strong customer focus, and a genuine willingness to go the extra mile to make a guest’s stay memorable. The way he treated both his team and the guests in his restaurant was truly impressive. Employees like Gagandeo are invaluable to any hotel, as he sets a powerful example of how genuine hospitality and strong leadership can elevate the entire brand.

What truly elevated our dining experience at SALTIDA Restaurant was the exceptional leadership of Manager Gagan. His professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine passion for hospitality were evident throughout the evening, ensuring a flawless and memorable experience. This was far more than just dinner—it was a refined journey of taste, service, and ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant, and sincerely commend Manager Gagan and his team for delivering such an outstanding experience. We look forward to returning.
