アウトドアプールも温水ならよかった。

We stayed in the Bay Wing which is much more modern and luxurious than the main building. Comfortable nicely decorated rooms with appropriate 5 star luxury in terms of the matrasses, service and amenities. Nice views on higher floors. Check in took ages. Unfortunately staff hardly speak English so discussing rooms/upgrades, ordering drinks or food is a hassle. Service is also extremely slow and inefficient. Despite showing pictures of matrasses on the sunloungers on the website, these did not exist in reality. We complained about this deception as laying on hard rotan sunloungers was very uncomfortable. As a consequence we were allowed to use the cabanas for which other guests had to pay. The restaurant is a hit and miss with a good breakfast but the buffet diner did not live up to expectations as all food was lukewarm or out. The resort itself is nice but the beach was under construction and the grounds are not maintained to the same standards as we are accustomed to elsewhere. Lots of yellow spots and tall grass. And this was not because of low season as the hotel was quite full. Despite being IHG Platinum and ordering a high floor (the highest category in Bay Wing) the hotel did not upgrade us to the next level which would have been a Club room where the small pool does have matrasses on the sunloungers. There are a few restaurants nearby as well as a Family Mart. Many hotel guests went there for lunch or afternoon drinks. Also because service at the pool was non-existent. And if drinks were brought, no one came to clean up thereafter. This meant birds could have a go or plastic cups would be blown into the pool. All in all, not the 5 star luxury an Intercontinental should offer.

おもてなしが、ラグジュアリーホテルのレベルではなかったと思います。我々の年齢が若かったから気持ちが緩んだのか、インバウンドのお客様に慣れているからなのか、一人一人のお客様をみての対応ではなく、画一的に効率化されたもののように感じました。
