Kanan Tulum Hotel & Spa Adults Only Playground

Property was nice and location was very central.

Good experience overall. If I had to say one negative thing is the noise. We did enjoy the music but it is non stop and goes on all day and until late at night. You also hear the music from nearby clubs. It was not really a negative thing but just was not so much the vibe we were looking for. We would be ok if it was a more chilling music vibe but it was mostly party music especially from the nearby hotels.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kanan. At times service was slow and or did not arrive. And with how much money we spent it would have been nice if breakfast had been included although they do have 3/4 caffeinated nespresso pods in the room for you which are replenished everyday as well as a jug of drinking water. A nice touch would have been hand or body lotion although they do provide aloe and mosquito repellent. Overall beautiful hotel that combines the natural elements into the aesthetic.

Nice rooms and cool looking hotel. All ruined by the noise though.

Loud party music pumps incessantly all day and long into the night from the onsite bar and restaurant. Impossible to sleep, relax or enjoy. Also loud bars next door - the hotel claims they can do nothing about their neighbours noise but they are part of the problem too and cause much of the noise. They could of course also talk to their neighbours and reach an arrangement not to play techno from 10am. Tourists clearly don’t enjoy this as this hotel and its neighbours are empty while a few spots down, the places are peaceful and packed.

the pool is incredible. natural stone pool very warm sit up bar waterfalls too cool.

Such a unique hotel. The bath tubs are carved out of a single piece of wood. I true Robinson Crusoe experience but with great music the whole time. Thumbs Up!

The place was cute the food was good.

I was very dissappointed in not only the service but the lack of service. The music played all day and into the evening it was super loud. So if you want to relax this is not the place. The pool or grotto shuts down around 5:00/6:00 which was very inconvenient. We had about 12 of us and we all had the same experience. If you want peace,relaxation don't choose this place.

The onsite parking , lovely welcome in the reception area upon arrival , amazing rooms , beach club , restaurant and best location made this hotel hard to beat next time we are back in Tulum. Jesus at the beach club created wonderful experiences for our group .

Unfortunately, our stay at Kanan was deeply disappointing. Although the hotel facilities were comfortable, the atmosphere was completely unsuitable for rest and relaxation. The music from the beach bar and the restaurant was extremely loud, continuing until late at night. It wasn’t background music — it was intense, club-style sound that made it impossible to sleep or unwind. To make matters worse, there is a neighboring Beach Bar outside the hotel that also plays very loud music too, so the two places try to outcompete each other with the level of noise. Our room’s terrace faced both sources of noise, creating a chaotic sound clash that was truly unbearable. We had planned to stay for three nights, but after just one night of constant noise and lack of rest, we decided to leave early and move to a different vibe hotel in the bioreserve. This is not what we expected from a supposedly relaxing vacation spot - the hotel should make it clear upfront that that’s the character of the place and quiet relaxation is not an option even if they have a spa. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace or a calm atmosphere. Kanan is clearly aimed at party-goers and not suitable for guests who value tranquility. We regret choosing this place and would not return.
