Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Tower

I witnessed an incident between a hotel guest and an employee, Timothy. I have no idea what the guest’s grievance was but he was clearly very upset. Based on the guest frustration, anger and volume and I had a difficult time seeing a positive outcome. From a distance I could tell that Tim was a good listener, compassionate and doing his best to deescalate the situation. Eventually the guest calmed down and went on his way. You have an amazing employee in Tim! Steve

Hotel.com advertised my room as sleeping 4 and when we got to the room there was only a king bed. The second day the hotel gave us a different room and a discount. Everyone was very nice. The room was clean.

Stayed for 3 nights with a friend who was there for a business conference. Super nice greeting from Andre, personal greeter! Easy check-in, the person pointed out where everything was. Double room beds were very comfortable. We had a nice view of the lake. Quiet, no hall or other adjacent room noise. The shower was standard, a point off for non adjustable flow. The coffee for the little coffee maker was actually very good, strong enough to drink black. Lively bar scene with mostly conference goers. The barber shop was constantly busy! My friend had lunch at Il Venetian and said it was very good. I enjoyed the steel cut oatmeal and the pot of coffee was fantastic, again strong enough to drink black. Good location for walking to Rock Hall, Rocket Arena and downtown. The Ascend spa was nice and moderately priced. The gym was gigantic as it is an actual gym in addition to being available for Marriott guests. I prefer smaller hotels but since I was tagging along I have no complaints. It was very comfortable.

Totally upset after paying what I did for the room. No free WiFi and had to pay 96.00 for valet parking. Price of room was ridiculous.

Near convention center

Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly staff, only minor thing is the rooms need complete renovation. They are fully functional but very dated. Surprised with the pillows, usually Marriott gives you one firmer and one fluffy, but this hotel was all fluffy, had to double up one of the pillows for a mildly firm one.

1 This hotel allows multiple dogs. The room next to us had 2 dogs barking for hours in the early morning. When I contacted the front desk it took 30 minutes for security to get there. When they arrived, they said they could not do anything and had to go get management. When management arrived, they also did not open the door to check on the dogs. 3 hours later the owner arrived and acted like he was in the room the whole time.
