Red Roof Inn Louisville Fair and Expo

There were no bed bugs.

The room smelled, the floor was dirty, the beds and towels had stains. The tv didn’t work. The mini fridge smelled like something was rotten inside of it. They let people loiter outside of the hotel on the hotel property. People who were clearly not staying there.

Rooms were clean and smelled very clean.

Pretty quiet location and staff was great and flexible . Went to Kentucky kingdom for the weekend with family and was able to leave my vehicle there in parking lot until check in time .

I booked a 2 night stay not realizing the place has bugs. When I reported it to the front staff, Mira, she was extremely rude and defensive and tried to say "bugs don't just happen overnight" as well as "the room has been rented multiple times this week and nobody else saw bugs"--a statement that has me feeling VERY sorry for anyone else who stayed here and carried these bugs home. She also refused a refund for the night I "stayed" (left around 10pm after finding the bugs) despite advising me to check out. I am disgusted, this is my first time at a Red Roof Inn and my first time ever staying somewhere with bugs. I have pictures and video, there is built in shelving that clearly hasn't been cleaned under in months and almost all of the baby bugs scurried there when I found them. I also found an adult bug under the bed, which clearly hasn't been cleaned under in a while either. So I guess Mira was right and bugs don't just happen overnight since this place has an ongoing hygiene issue. Absolutely disgusting place and disgusting customer service. I have already checked out and gotten another hotel, who knows if I'll get a refund or any compensation for having to sterilize everything I brought. At least I won't be sharing a room with bugs.
