Courtyard Detroit Utica

The staff were awesome and very helpful.

No hairdryer in the room and unable to get one until later that day (not ideal when I had to leave for a full day of meetings with wet hair). The front desk staff did ensure I had one for the next day though. The facilities are dated and reception looked a bit grubby. The bed was far too soft, particularly at the top end where it felt as though the top half of my body was sinking into the mattress whilst the lower half of my body was being elevated. Really very strange mattress.

Stayed 7 nights. Never had any housekeeping come. We threw away our own trash from baskets. 7 nights without new linens or towels The hand soap at sink was so thin that it immediately broke and parts washed down drain The GFI electric sockets at sink were broken and would not reset Begged for new towels. “We ran out” were the words from front desk. Given 6 hand towels for the 2 of us to shower Given pool towels (blue stripe) next day as “we ran out” Came back yesterday at 430pm. My sister had died The Starbucks/restaurant was dark. Asked at desk what’s up We were told there was a funeral the next day and restaurant was closed until further notice. I have NOT had such poor service even in lesser hotel/motels. Will not be coming back to Marriott any time soon

I like that check out is noon. Unlike other facilities that have you checking out at 11 am. The extra hour allowed me to sleep in and relax that much more

Front staff yell at us. The hotel is not like the picture. U have drive through apartment get to it. Basic..and pool is a so small, no hot tub.

Very noisy. Rood receptionist in the afternoon. I was charged for high speed internet, although I'am a Marriott Gold member.

Housekeeping was very polite and generous. The front desk was very polite and helpful as well. The room was very clean. Will book again.

Had to move to a different room within first 10 minutes of being there. While in the second room there was no fridge or microwave in the room. There were spots for both but they were missing. Then after turning the tv off for the night we realized the toilet wouldn’t stop running. It ran all night every 2 to 3 minutes. I then told staff about it and they said there wasn’t anything they could do about it. It sucked because the bathroom was on the other side of the wall where are heads where.
