Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B

Very charming old house in town. Great owners (Matt and Katie). Special breakfast options. Very attentive. Short walk into town.

Sandy and I came to Bar Harbor on May 31st and for 3 wonderful nights we stayed at the Saltair Inn. We weren't disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by Matt who showed us around and asked had we ever been to Bar Harbor. We had not. He graciously told us about the towns activities, restaurant's and how everything was a 4 minute walk from the Inn and he was right. We got our exercise in for a few days and shopped at some really nice stores. We hit a few great restaurants too. On return to the Inn our room was always looking "fresh and new" Gavin their housekeeper did a great job which was much appreciated. In the morning we went downstairs for tea and breakfast which was amazing. Breakfast started with a fruit cup and ended with Kristi making something fabulous. She took personal requests too! I must say on behalf of Sandy and myself. We truly enjoyed our visit and would 100% stay there again

My wife and I arrived Saturday May 31st and were greeted by Matt. He showed us around talked a bit about Bar harbor since we had never been there and showed us where our room was located. We stayed in the Chart room. It was very well put together. We had an awesome gas fireplace and a very comfortable bed. Their housekeeper Gavin always made our room look like it's "first day" after returning from a day trip which we appreciated. Each morning, we were served a homemade breakfast beginning with a fresh fruit cup. Kristi was very nice and a great cook! Bottomline, we had a great time staying at the Saltair and should we return to Bar harbor we'll stay there again.

The Saltair Inn was outstanding. The location was excellent. A short walk to the main downtown area. The view was incredible. Sitting on the back porch looking out over the water. The breakfast each day was exquisite. We had a fantastic time and would recommend the Saltair Inn to anyone coming to Bar Harbor.

Such a wonderful place! Matt and Kristi the owners are welcoming, personable and friendly and made our stay amazing. Kristi’s breakfasts are absolutely fantastic. The inn is walking distance to the center of Bar Harbor and also situated right on the bay. Perfect spot for a vacation in Maine!

My husband and I just spent 5 nights in the Harbor Suite at the beautiful Saltair Inn. The suite was so comfortable ! Loved the cozy gas fireplaces in the bedroom and sitting room Delicious breakfasts every morning. Oceanfront front views were gorgeous! Exceeded all our expectations. Thank you Matt and Kristi- you are wonderful hosts!! We loved our trip !!!

This was just a perfect stay from the beginning. Kristi and Matt were so nice, and the Inn is amazing. The views are stunning, the location is perfect for beach and island walks, and very close to the centre. The rooms are very cosy, and the decoration is all we should expect at a traditional inn an more. :) And the breakfast was delicious! We absolutely recommend staying here!

Heated bathroom floors, good wifi. There were comfortable chairs The staff was awesome very welcoming but not over engaging The facility is beautiful
