Hotel was so cute! Loved playing tennis. One of the highlights was the staff. Kiesler checked us in and he was so very kind and welcoming. He embraces the ‘Aloha Spirit’ which is just what you want in vacation. Mahalo Kiesler!

"Royal Lahaina -Great stay!"

The Royal Lahaina is a great place to stay in Kaanapali. It has the Aloha atmosphere in a smaller setting and fair pricing. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are spacious. The beach is really nice and perfect for sunset viewing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Whaler's Village is a nice easy walk away. We'll be back! Highly recommend!

"Nice older resort but no "wow" factor"

Resort was nice but there was no "wow" factor anywhere. There were only two pools, and the closest pool was 5 feet deep at its shallowest, so this kept many people out of the pool. The other pool did have a minimum depth of 3 feet at one end, but it was further away with less supervision. There were no microwaves available to reheat any leftovers or to make popcorn, for example. It would be nice to have at least one available per floor or in the lobby for such purposes The resort also lacked vending machines for snacks or drinks, so when the resort store closed at 8 or 9 pm, there was nothing available. Some requests for room amenities were deferred until housekeeping arrived at 7 am. Restaurant service was spotty, with requests for juice or extras being ignored or forgotten. Staff was friendly but not overly helpful when asking for recommendations. Luau was entertaining, but the process to enter was grueling, and we waited in line about 45 minutes just to enter. Overall, the resort could use a "facelift" to keep up with other, more modern resorts.
