My daughter and I came to Grantley for our birthdays yesterday! We were greeted by Mark who was a truly professional and interesting member of staff who gave us a tour of the hotel and made us feel welcome from the outset. Mark explained about the history of the hall, the artwork and showed us around the various bars and eateries. We booked in for a spa and dine experience and it was totally exquisite from start to finish! The bar 88 was amazing a real cool vibe - Hectar looked after us he was an incredible young man thank you! The spa was immaculate and the various pools, sauna, snow and steam rooms were incredible! We will be back again 100% we can’t wait! Thank you so much for making our birthdays a day and evening to remember ! To close my review I would like to comment that everyone counts here or no one counts that was our experience ! Everyone is treated like royalty and with the upmost respect and courtesy! Thank you again!

Our family recently dined at Restaurant Eighty Eight. We were warmly welcomed at the front gate. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. We opted for a table in the restaurant as opposed to the bar and were pleased with our choice. The restaurant looks stunning. We were initially seated at a table in the corner, but as it felt too large and impersonal we asked to move tables and were accommodated. All the staff were polite and professional. As the restaurant got busier service slipped slightly and I sat with an empty glass for a little while. We chose the 8 course tasting menu which was enjoyable though we all thought the cauliflower course was disappointing. Personally, I would have liked to have seen more Asian foods on the menu. The surprise celebratory treat plates were a nice thought. We had a lovely time and would return.

Honestly I haven't seen service better in years. For me and my husband the quality of service is the most important criteria. Not only we were pampered to death and surrounded by prompt accommodation of our every need but also literally everyone in this property was genuinely kind, highly professional and taking pride in doing their job. That alone is amazing nowadays but having said that I don't want to disregard the quality of the property itself. It is a rare combination of peaceful environment close to nature (charming farmland around, some hikes almost at the back door) and a party time (fun evening and night outlets). For the comfort of the guests fun venues are located separatly of where the guests sleep. Speaking of venues the room/venue ratio is amazing, restaurants all have different atmosphere and concept, if you are not that hungry in the evening after having the high tea, you can grab a snack in one of the beautiful bars (quiet or lively) and in the summer time you are getting a plethora of outside sitting options as well. We stayed for a week and could have had dinner in different spots every night but we enjoyed the Pan-Asian restaurant too much so did it twice. Our Executive room was fantastic, very well maintained and combining modern comfort with the spirit of old ages, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully planned for 2 guests, lots of windows with both the river and the garden view on the other side. Lucious gardens of the Grantley Hall are worth separate mentioning. We got there during the extreme and rare drought but could never tell - so it was well taken care of. Apart from the beautiful English gardens there is a Japanese garden well worth exploring as well as the river and the Chef's garden. I imagine it is beautiful any time of the year. This was the only hotel gym I have ever seen decorated with marble statues. Beautiful in itself it boasts not only a solid cardio zone but also has everything you need for a proper strength training session, CrossFit and more. Never tried pool area and SPA but it looked gorgeous as well. I can go on forever but to wrap it up I must say it has just one drawback for us - located too far from the United States where we live so we can not frequent this place as much as we want.

Before the beautiful iron gates opened we encountered the magical Isaac, what a welcome, ( I’m not giving that secret away) heading down the driveway along side a stream the magnificent hotel stands in stunning parkland. Arrival is mind blowing, there’s a welcoming staff team to cover everything. Early arrivals can go and enjoy the spa pre room being ready and all the team work hard to make you feel very special. It doesn’t matter if you arrived in polo or a Porsche , the team are interested in your experience. The spa is spotless friendly and very relaxing , something for everyone to enjoy, I personally enjoyed laying back outside in the autumn sun watching kites and buzzards soaring above me, a lovely experience. Our room was an executive one with an amazing non slippy copper bath and views across the back garden , we enjoyed relaxing and chilling with great mood lighting, very comfortable bed and headed for cocktails and dinner. Tried a new cocktail, I’ll be trying it again if I get the ingredients 😆 Dinner at Fletchers was divine and very well served. Breakfast also a very nice experience. Well organised by a very well trained dedicated team. Grantley Hall is a truly beautiful place, rooms are stunning, spa is so relaxing, restaurants and bars are well run and food is truly tremendous but what really makes it work and why I’ll save up to go back are the staff. I met some exceptional people, Paul particularly, obviously Isaac, so many more on our very brief but amazing venture

Where can I begin with this dream! If I could give 7 stars I would. We have stayed in many 5 stars all over the world, I can firmly put this in the top 3. From the moment we arrived, Grantley Hall was a sensational experience. Issac holding the fort at the front gate, dressed impeccably, welcomed us like family and with so much energy it was like a shot of espresso! The valet boys were incredible and highly professional and helped us park directly outside of the hotel. Ricardo on the front desk is a seasoned professional, with a classic and tailored approach to his work which we highly appreciated. He welcomed us with so much care and took care of every detail of our stay. A true credit to Grantley Hall, again, impeccably dressed which is always so nice to see. The hotel itself is magestic and huge! Very clean and every detail has been considered. Our room was perfect, fully amenatized and beautifully furnished. Underfloor heating in our bathroom was wonderful in the morning! We dined at Fletchers - a team of consumate professionals with enough Northern charm to take you to the moon and back! The beef wellington was world class and the lighting and ambiance was perfect. The wonderful hostess of Fletchers was absolutley wonderful and made our experience so heartfelt and memorable. The gentleman who served us at breakfast was so professional and kind, another example of the stellar talents at Grantley Hall. Spa is world class also. Nothing else like this in the UK!

We recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the hotel and it was truly exceptional in every way, from the superb staff, excellent food, fabulous room and beautiful pool and spa. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate and we’re spoiled with a complimentary bottle of champagne. We would highly recommend it. Julie & John Grimmer
