Grantley Hall

As we arrived at the gates of Grantley Hall at the end of a long day of beautiful torurs, the guard let us in and we drove down a beautiful drive next to a stunning river. My slack jawed expression was met by a bevy of porters ready to greet us as we stepped out of the car. As they were taking our luggage, they saw our laundry bags. After 10 days of travel we had accumulated a bit. “They said we can sort that for you.” I was almost too tired to care. The reception team greeted us warmly, checked us in, and escorted us to our room. They had provided us with the most beautiful upgrade (a far larger room than we had reserved). The amenities were too numerous to account. The decor was flawless and beyond immaculate. After Lisa the lovely receptionist left, I was so excited I was clapping and hopping up and down. I have never seen/experienced anything like this in my life. My favorite amenities were the fresh baked shortbread and the bottomless non alcoholic minibar. The breakfasts must be mentioned. They were incredible in quality, selection, and service. We loved it so much we abandoned a leg of our trip and extended for 3 additional days. So much of the Yorkshire Dales is accessible by Uber from Grantley Hall. We saw so much. The hotel provided a map with descriptions of the proper path and tickets to nearby Fountains Abbey. This is our third visit since April and once again this hotel is absolutely fantastic in every way! The lovely welcome sets the tone and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our suite (44) is just perfect. All the common areas are furnished beautifully. Excellent Sunday lunch in Fletchers Restaurant and live music in The Orchard in the evening. Many happy hours spent in the magnificent spa the following day. Perfect dinner with friends in Fletchers in the evening. More happy hours in the Spa today and looking forward to another excellent dinner this evening, this time in the Restaurant 88. We are already planning our next visit!

An exceptional hotel that far exceeds the 5 star rating. The rooms and suites are exquisite, the food is sensational and the hotel and its grounds are beautiful. The Grantley Hall team offer a fantastic service that is friendly, polite and very welcoming. A great range of restaurants for a hotel that only has 47 rooms. The hotel spa offers a very relaxing atmosphere. A big thank you to all the team for a truly exceptional experience that is second to none.

No other word for this Halloween ball - it was EPIC! If anyone was going to do it well, it was always going to Grantley Hall! I love Halloween and my husband bought this as a gift for me! Flowing Champagne, gorgeous canapés, tasty bowl food, ice sculpture cocktails, incredible entertainment and spooky surprises all night! And the biggest Frankenstein I have ever seen! The Hall was decorated to perfection! Thank you for a brilliant night!

Faultless stay at Grantley Hall! From the moment we arrived at the gates, we had the warm welcome from Isaac, driving through the grounds to then be greeted by a beautiful view and helpful staff on hand was really refreshing to see and experience. After a smooth and quick check in with Richardo we were then escorted to our beautiful ‘Winkley Suite’ which has a warm and comforting decor. Not to mention the most comfortable bed ever and the added extra of a delightful steam shower which we made use of! In the evening we dined at Eighty8 (Pan Asian) which was delicious, the staff were very informative, with the service and food being just as good! The next morning we made use of the impressive gymnasium which has lots of various equipment, one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel! The spa was also lovely, as was the Deep Tissue Massage. Thank you for making our stay so special. Can’t wait to return, totally recommend this wonderful hotel!

The only word is excellent, from arrival (Isaac on the gate) to departure it was a wonderful experience. Staff were attentive, friendly, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. Room and view lovely and attention to detail first class. Spa was peaceful and relaxing with plenty of amenities. 88 tasting menu was faultless . Thank you for a lovely visit, look forward to returning.
