Imperial Hotel

This was our 4th visit to the Imperial. Hotel was as usual, clean, tidy and well staffed. Led by Manager David, with all staff friendly and always ready to help. Our first floor room was spotless and serviced daily (As the weather was very hot the Fan ,available in the room, came in very useful), bed very comfortable and the en-suite excellent. Food in the restaurant was of a very good standard, plenty of choice, portion size very good and meals were served hot and speedily. Thank you to our Waitress (Hee) who attended to our every need. The Entertainment in the evenings followed the usual pattern, quiz, bingo and entertainer. The location of the Imperial is first class, two minutes to the sea front, ten to the centre of Eastbourne and bus services to Hastings, Sightseeing Open-Top tours and the surrounding area within two minute walk also. What more could you want for a great Eastbourne holiday. Thank you, we will return

We should have gone on the coach, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel coach , we drove down, long drive, (prefer the coach) hotel was clean , WiFi in room even on the 4th floor, we had a huge hot pipe running through our wardrobe, there was a fan in the room it was very hot, shower was very slow but we managed, yes lifts are slow, but we got one eventually, not really a problem your on holiday, of course some rude folk who think they have a right ..this hotel mainly caters for the more mature guest who’ve been to the hotel a few times so think they own it lol … Food fine, good choice, good portions, ..entertainment, quiz ( we don’t do it Mr Google has all the answers) can’t see the point in that …bingo, and singer which we enjoyed, always seats available in the entertainment room ..staff friendly , bar prices reasonable, nice lads serving in the bar .. The hotel is in a great position, near to everything & flat , you can hire a mobility scooter, Walker or wheelchair from the hotel all excellent price ..tour bus, tour train all just by the hotel, local buses …so handy ..short walk to the main shops to … This was our 4th Daish’s break this year such good value, we’re due a half price one which we’ll use for tinsel & Turkey … Would we go again…yes of course we would ..

Small lifts

Just returned from 5 days at this hotel and won’t be returning. The meals were terrible meals were tepid, roast potatoes too big and green. The waitress we had was useless kept getting meals mixed up and was rude. The room was clean and basic, no wi fi in bedrooms.

Hotel in great position off seafront just past the pier. short walk to buses and large shopping centre. everything very clean and smart. Large twin bedroom. Excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff. Have mobility scooters for hire. Entertainment good but large lounge and bar if you want a quiet evening. will visit again.

First visit to this hotel. The room was adequate nice and clean. Excellent walk in shower. The food was plain but there is a choice of menu every day. Our designated waiter was excellent (table 28) and very patient with elderly guests. Only one trip was offered although the hotel advertised four options . The entertainment was varied. Adam Knight was outstanding, Jane Jenkinson gave a good selection of songs and both nights were excellent. The Saturday night entertainment "Melodie" was disappointing the sound was awful and it took until nearly the end to get anyone dancing. The last night's entertainer Hayley had a good singing voice and was very pleasant. The lady who cleaned our room Christine was very efficient and cheerful.

We went with Daishs coach holidays and really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms on first floor 120 and 121 were clean and modern with tea, and coffee provided, walk in showers and comfortable double beds. Rooms cleaned daily, plenty of choice of food and drinks at mealtimes and staff really helpful and friendly. We used the local buses and were able to travel to nearby Beachy Head where there is a cafe, then later spent a day in Brighton travelling there on the number 12 bus and a day in Hastings travelling on the 99 bus. Bus stops across from the roundabout 10 mins walk from the hotel. Reception provided us with the timetables. We enjoyed walking on the pier in Eastbourne and there were lots of shops in walking distance nearby. Evening entertainment was mostly good with a quiz, Bingo, music and dancing. Compliments to all the staff .

Honestly we absolutely loved it ...we were dubious after our stay at Llandudno..where it was far from good ...if the food servings had been any less ,there would have nothing on the plate .if you had fruit juice uou couldn't have cereal..so not recommended But the imperial is just fantastic...Spotlessly clean ..fab entertainment every night , an really good food....great choices, and I'm lactose intolerant..so they went out of their way, to inform me what I could eat of the menu...all in all..a fabulous holiday arrived home yesterdayaftera 5 day trip ..and we can't wait to go back...enjoy it's great
