Cabanas chaac Calakmul

Great place to stay! No frills but the staff are very friendly, there are a couple of fans in the room to help make the temp cooler, and a bug net for keeping the mosquitos out. I would definitely stay here again.

The location and price were good for a short visit to Xpujil and Calakmul.

The room could be cleaner and the lock on the cabin door needs to be replaced. It was extremely difficult to lock from the outside with the provided key.

Very kind accommodating hosts, quiet location only a short walk from shops and restaurants. Comfortable private room with a mosquito net.

Our host was beyond helpful before we got there. Also it is super cheap.

The common area was not clean, neither were the bedsheets and the moskito net was smelly. Also the cabana had many holes, so there were moskitoes everywhere. For a couple of hours there was no water and we did not get information about it.

You can buy yourself coal and make a fire for barbecue outside, also in the rain :)

We did not even use the broken mosquito nets because they had a lot of holes.
