Cabanas chaac Calakmul

Simple accommodation.

Linen was old, dirty around mattress, bad layout with toilet and sink. charged more than advertised, $40 not $25 hard to find.

Good value and close enough to town (which is a total building site at the moment- as at Dec 2023!)

Construction noise from all the trucks and machinery about 1 km away!

Cheap for a night before Calakmul trip.

You get what you pay for, the neighborhood was also full of kids playing with fireworks until late night.

A bit run down place.

The room is in a good place if you plan to visit Calakmul. There is a place to sit with a fridge.

The room has a dirty, smelly mosquito net, which needs to be replaced. The room has holes in which insects or animals may enter. There is no kitchen to cook.

Comfortable bed and spacious room. Fridge available if needed. We were able to park our car there.

No hot water. Did not use the mosquito net as it was dirty with holes in it however being under the blankets at night we did not get any mosquito bites.

Staff was extremely helpful. They showed us the way around town and were happy to help. The room was cozy and the garden and family room really comfortable.

However there was no hot water.

Good for one night to go to Calakmul the next days. There is a bed and the mosquito net does the job. Good informations to get your next destination . Free water and fridge available

Mosquito net is a bit old and stained. The place isn't really cosy

The place was very rustic, so we needed mosquito nets. i was happy i had my own with me, as the one provided was not mosquito-proof at all.
