Cabanas chaac Calakmul

It's a bit off the noisy main road and all the restaurants and street food stands are just a 10 minutes walk away. The dogs are very sweet (although barking in front of our cabana at night) and accompanied us when we strolled through the village. They also have two very cute cats. Expect a more rustic, close to nature experience so you'll wanna bring earplugs for the night.. The cabins can be locked but are not fully sealed. There is a mosquito net for the bed but we got a few bites anyway (who knows what that was)

The common area could be improved.

Amazing value for money. So comfy and clean. Basic but all you could need. Owner was very accommodating when my fan didn’t work. Would 100% stay again

Everything was great. I recommend to stay there.

I couldn’t sleep next to my partner with the mosquitoes-net down. It was just touching me everywhere, since it was not square but rounded. Luckily there were no mosquitoes at night, so we just slept without. A kitchen place would be nice.

Good place for some nights to explore Calakmul. Price is fair for what you get. Bed was comfortable. The Dogs of the place are lovely. We had a good time there.

The outdoor area was pretty dirty and they didn't empty the trashbin often enough. No equipment for cooking or cleaning your own stuff. Wifi was not working properly often.

Petites cabanes conforment à la description. Pas très confort, mal isolées, assez bruyantes mais sans grande surprise. Personnel hyper sympa. Un espace dehors avec un frigo pour stocker sa nourriture mais rien pour cuisiner.

nice cozy huts with comfortable bed and hot shower (could be more water, but I think everyone is used to this…) outside sitting area (which could be more cozy, but it’s okay). shared fridge (be careful, seems like some one is stealing food - they stole our chocolate muffins 😳)

some of the stuff could be a bit more welcoming. the outside area has a lot of potential…

Standard totally fits to the price. It's lowcost style but clean. Possibility to take a seat on the terrace. And lovely dog and cat outside. :-D

Nice little Cabanas with private toilet and shower. Shared refrigerator, which is nice. Cute cat and two friendly house dogs who escorted us safely to the bus station in the morning :-) Staff are friendly. Nice bakery across the street. Close to the center and the ADO bus station (4 blocks away). Good value, but some things need to be addressed to make it worth a 8 or 9.

The shower wasn't working correctly; hardly any water and it was boiling hot. Shower head gave me an electric shock. This wasn't solved after we asked. No WiFi coverage in the cabana, only in shared area. There were Mexican people drinking and having some sort of a party and making a lot of noise and playing loud music. Management didn't do anything about it unfortunately. We had to get up early and couldn't sleep because of this. Noisy location in general. Barking dogs, music etc. Bring earplugs. The site needs to be cleaned up: there's litter and it looks a little messy. Little effort to make it look more appealing.
