Villas Sol Beach Resort

Nice place, beautiful view and very peaceful.

The villa was the perfect amount of space and decorated beautifully; well equipped. No ocean view but still beautiful and breathtaking. We had the BEST time at our dance lesson with Tracy; she was so fun and welcoming we decided to check out karaoke with her the following evening. Would definitely stay at villa sol again; also check out the viewing deck at sunset Only negative: trolley service is slow!

Wonderful Service, excellent people, very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you to Byron, Gian, Eduardo, Tracy, Dayanna and Pedro Reyes you guys made our stay more welcoming. Amenities were clean and comfortable. It was great mini vacation!!

I will definitely go again

This hotel is old, dingy, and beaten down and the food at the restaurant is tragically awful. I had one of the worst breakfasts in my life there (how do you ruin breakfast???). We didn’t do all inclusive (thank goodness) so we only had 1 dinner there which cost us $60-70 and was limited in selection and awful in taste. The only white wine they offer is Sauvignon blanc and they don’t have paper straws for other drinks. It really was the worst restaurant ever but with a great view over the pacific. Back to the room. The air conditioning was so high that I could hardly feel cold air. The bed was hard as a rock. The lighting was inadequate (only 1 lamp provided). And…there’s a wannabe nightclub at the bottom of the hotel. The dj played music that made feel like the room was being kicked every 3 seconds. I hated this hotel. The ONLY saving grace was the view which is spectacular. Overall I would never stay there again. I feel duped. I’ve never chosen a worse hotel in my life.

Most staff didn't speak English enough. It was extremely difficult to understand them.

We had a wonderful vacation with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters at Villas Sol Beach Resort. As other reviews have indicated, the resort does need updating. If someone is looking for an upscale resort, this one is not for them but if not, the all inclusive price and points used were reasonable and the villa we stayed in was comfortable (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) including its own sheltered small pool which we enjoyed in the 34 degree weather. The beds were very firm but we still slept well. We did not have hot running water in our showers but we were offered the option to move to another villa for comfortability. The staff were very friendly and helpful if we had an issue in the villa. Taking the shuttle around the resort is necessary in the heat of the day, but we were able to walk from the restaurant to our villa at times and it was very nice. We really enjoyed our time there including the food, the restaurant and its amazing view, the beach and the staff. My husband and son enjoyed snorkling in the water and using the paddle board at the beach. If you need groceries, there is a grocery store within walking distance of the resort but it is pricy. We were treated to amazing sunsets at the restaurant which overlooks the water. Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing time enjoying being together with our familyl

The staff at the property was amazing. I loved how convenient everything was. The breakfast was amazing and the option of buying the dinner buffet was also very convenient and a great price. The beach that is closest to this hotel is beautiful and there are tons of vendors willing to help with any excursion you might have in mind. The hotel was in a quiet area but if you are looking for a little town or more food options you can make a convenient drive to Coco beach in about 15 minutes. I enjoyed everything about this stay.
