Canyon Lodge Agafay

The accomodation is in a sensational location. The views are out of this world, the infinity pool is beautiful and really cold even though it's extremely hot.

The rooms are not so comfortable. The rooms seem half renovated and they are extremely hot and the aircon doesn't work properly. Dinner is lovely but I think the entertainment shouldn't be in your face when you're trying to have your dinner.

Beautiful surrounds, great pool!

The floor of our room was filthy, bathroom was mouldy, the bed didn’t have any sheets just a mattress protector and pillows were small and lumpy. The doors to our lodge didn’t lock. The owner emailed me with abuse for booking via booking.com rather than direct through the hotel website. Staff did not speak any English and were not very helpful. Food was nice but very basic. Wifi did not work at all.

The rooms/tents stank of cheap plastic, there were bugs in the bed, paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom and the doors didn’t open properly. Breakfast was a yogurt pot, jam and some bread, the most basic thing I have ever experienced. I paid £250 a night for what was no more than a 2 star commune in the dessert.

I loved the peace of the place …truly a place of silence. The pool was fabulous. Staff were kind . Truly beautiful. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with a good view over the Canyon

On booking I was told that the property was suitable for people with disabilities …it is not really. To get to the pool involved walking a steep path into the canyon and then up . I only did it once. The performers at dinner were very talented however trying to push people to get up fell flat …maybe the guests were just not very fun.

The location is amazing, situated in the desert with a view on the atlas mountains. Proposed activities are fun as well such as the quad. Dinner was great and came with a music show. The pool is worth mentioning because it is truly beautiful.

The tent is okay and I can understand that electricity is not always constant because we are in the desert, but the electricity basically dropped every 5 minutes and came back after a few minutes. It's not a big deal, unless you are trying to take a shower or take a nap with the a/c on. The tent has multiple openings which allows insects to enter the tent. I feel like this could be handled quite easily by closing them off. The toilet had a very bad smell. Keep in mind that I'm writing this related to the price of the stay which is more on the luxury hotel end pricing. I expected a bit more.

Away from civilisation, barely any signal, WiFi is only available at the restaurante and is weak, perfect for an escape. No complaints. The surrounding, the canyon, the pool, the outdoor fireplace, this place is unreal. Greater by the Ower and saff are amazing.

Loved everything. Room was not cleaned during our stay, but it's a camp experience, so it's not a major complaint... we are clean people, so it didn't bother us. Other tha. this 10 stars.
