Chalet Motel - Affordable Stay in Central Bend

Just an average cheap motel.

very quiet, clean and loved lot. you can tell that the owners take very good care of the place. when we come back to bend, we will stay here again!

Beds were comfortable, nice fridge with freezer, location was noisy, no electrical outlet in bathroom, light by one bed not working, electrical outlets were loose and not many in the room, décor was lacking, the light fixtures on the ceiling were splattered with paint from when they painted the ceiling, no hair dryer, tub was slippery, the vanity was crumbling, no ice machine (but if you go to the lobby you are provided with a sandwich sized zip lock baggie of ice), pipes made a lot of noise when other rooms used water (like wake you up noisy). Felt it was overpriced for the condition of the room.

The staff is awesome! Clean rooms, great price, it was everything I needed.

Room smelled good. Sheets were clean. Coffee products in the morning were nice.

Tv did not work but that was a minor fault.

The location met the needs for us to attend a show at the Amphitheater.

I have years of experience in hospitality and although this is a budget motel, it's important that the standard of cleanliness and comfort be provided the same as any hotel/motel. This is a service customers are paying for and they deserve somewhere that is clean and comfortable despite the price. The room was not cleaned. There were splatters all over the walls in the sleeping area, bathroom and by the desk. There were sticky spots on the night stand where it's clear the surfaces had not been wiped down. There was a huge wet spot on the floor that we found out to be urine. The TV was not plugged in. There was a rag with a bracelet left on top of the light fixture in the bathroom which could have potentially started a fire if left on too long. The fridge had a very strong odor and Looked to have not been cleaned or wiped down in a while. We also were told there was not a room that would accommodate 5 people. So we had to pay for a second bedroom. Come to find out, one of the rooms they put us in had 3 beds. We were told we could only use two beds in that room and still had to pay for the second room, even though 5 people could fit in that room. The second room should have been reimbursed in this case. These issues were brought up to the management and were kind of just brushed off. Management first started to question me about having a pet, I let them know I in fact did not have a pet as I told them in check in. I offered for them to come and check my car. They then began to talk about carpet cleaner and chemicals. I let them know that I smelled the area I stepped in and it was clearly urine and it had no chemical smell. They did not believe me and then kind of dismissed me. Again, I'm aware this is a budget motel. It was picked due to location and proximity to the venue. However, If you are needing a place to stay longer than a night I would not recommend The Chalet Motel.

Proprietor said I did not have a reservation. I obviously did. I went to the Motel 6 down the street. I asked for him to refund my payment. I don't know who I should get my $$ back from, Orbitz or Chalet Motel? It's a cheap motel, but it exceeded our expectations—a great place to stay if you're heading to Bachelor and just need a clean place to stay. Would come again.
