Hampton Inn West Des Moines Lake Drive

Our greeting from Pam at the front desk set the mood for a truly positive and memorable experience. While in Des Moines for State Baseball ⚾️, no other place could have been chosen that might have even compared to the superior quality and sincere service we experienced. A huge thank you to the entire staff at the Hampton Inn / West Des Moines.

They need to ensure that all people making reservations know about the events going on in the area. Such as softball or baseball teams.

I recently had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn West in Des Moines, Iowa. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day of travel. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a variety of tasty options to start the day right. A special shout-out to Heidi at the front desk—she was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

Food was very good - had flavor, was hot, coffee was good,

the bed was a little hard, elevator had scraps of paper/stuff on the floor

Clean and quiet

Property is getting a bit tired and worn. Rooms were done, but we were lacking towels. A quick phone call resolved that. Breakfast was mediocre with a good selection of food, but nothing inspiring. The hotel was clean and safe. This was our third year staying at it, but we will find a new place next time.

The hotel was not very updated. Not many amenities. The other Hampton Inn we stayed at had-updated decor, clean carpets, non-scuffed walls in the elevator & hallways. In the dining area, they offered a snack bag when we left. They also offered “fruit” water, which was very refreshing! I assumed the West Des Moines location was a franchise hotel vs. corporate.
