The location and the view are the only truly positive things worth mentioning.

We stayed for 4 nights without WiFi. There was no communication or any effort made to fix it. We asked about the breakfast arrangement right after check-in, but received no response nor any prior instructions. In the morning, we just went straight to the café, which we only discovered by scrolling previous reviews, and asked for our breakfast. It was a big hassle. The beautiful balcony looked like it had not been cleaned since they built it, and with a table cloth full of bird poop. All in all, very disappointing in spite of the great location.

It was close to restaurants and the ruins. Instructions for entry to the property were clearly conveyed.

The shower was very small and drainage in the shower tray was an issue.

We booked this apartment over a month ago based on good reviews. Unfortunately, there is reason to believe that the reviews are manipulated by the company providing this accommodation. The apartment is extremely dirty. The bedspread is stained. The towels smell moldy. All the dishes in the kitchen are sticky, and the dishwasher has not been emptied, seemingly since the previous occupants (and possibly more than one group, judging by the amount of dishes). The dishwasher appears to have been left for a very long time, as it emits a nauseating odor. Additionally, when my wife tried to take some dishes from the dishwasher, she received a substantial electric shock twice (indicating improper and unsafe electrical connections) – posing a direct threat to life and health! Opening any cabinet in the kitchen reveals a terrible musty smell, indicating that basic hygiene rules are not followed in this place. There isn't even a basic trash can in the kitchen! Nor are there any hygiene products for dishwashing, such as sponges. The oven does not work. The toilet lacks a seat, making even a basic hygienic visit to the bathroom highly problematic! The balcony is in a dreadful state! The bed linen is gray and covered in crumbs of unknown origin, clearly indicating that it is not properly maintained, cleaned, ironed, or changed according to hygiene standards. Frankly, this is the first time we have encountered such horrendous, almost homeless-like conditions while booking accommodation through Booking.com. We were forced to sleep fully clothed because we were too disgusted to undress for proper rest.

The location is one of the best that you could imagine! It is right in the heart of Pompeii and everything is reachable by foot. The room was very good and comfortable with a bathroom. The host replied quickly and was helpful.

Some people from the other rooms had vouchers in their room to have a free breakfast. There was none in my room, therefore there was no free breakfast for the people in my room...

A great place to stay in Pompei - easy to get to from the main station, nice big rooms with comfy beds, nice view from the balcony and the breakfast downstairs at Gabbiano's was lovely. There are lots of cafes and restaurants on Via Lepanto, and it's a short walk to the city centre and not far from the main entrance to the ruins. I would definitely stay again!

Make sure you Whatsapp the host before you arrive as it's self check-in, so you'll need all the details otherwise you might end up knocking on the front door and have no one come to open it (like what happened to me!)
