Location was good

Was no signs at all showing were hotel was and took ages to find , was poorly labelled only once you found the door . Lift was almost impossible to locate as just looked like a old run down door ! Was tiny and could only fit one case in so had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with rest. No reception or place to leave luggage. Would not stay again . No door on shower either so water went everywhere! Location was good though.

The breakfast was great and very convenient. The price was reasonable for the amenities provided.

Check in was extremely difficult. When we arrived, the buzz-in button that we were instructed to use did not exist and we had to resort to buzzing other inhabitants of the building to get in. The door to the establishment was locked from the inside, making the code we were given to get in unusable, and we had to wait for another guest to arrive and let us in. The Sanctuary Rooms staff did not answer our phone calls or Whatsapp messages throughout any of this. There was also no handle on the door from our room going into the shared kitchen, causing security concerns. We were told there was a private bathroom, but this bathroom was not connected to our room and took going through common spaces, which meant the bathroom was open to other guests.

Proximity to ruins

The shower drain was completely blocked. 3 minutes of running water was filling the basin and needed 15 minutes of waiting to drain. I have informed the owner. They said a plumber would attend immediately. Nothing has been fixed though. I got back to owner saying just that. They said a plumber has visited. The shower drain was still not working.

Great location, just 5 minutes walk from Pompei sanctuary and 10 minutes from the amphitheatre entrance of Pompeii ruins. Nice view of the mountains to the south. A reasonable place to sleep while spending the days outside exploring

The shower was missing a door, and the water took 5-10 minutes to get to just a warm temperature. Even when it had warmed up the shower had to be directed at the side wall so that it didn't completely flood the bathroom floor

Communication was terrible. From the start with instructions how to get in there.There was no property name mentioned on entry door as per instructions. Shower didn't work as the water didn't go down and you have to wait for hot water 10-15 min minimums ,but then shower is full and water to go down takes 30-50 minutes? Sink also blocked as we tried to use it instead of waiting on shower and sink also got stuck...which I reported immediately to property ,but they didn't care till next day I left... And when I brought up problem about shower also no reaction. Also they didn't take out trash from previous guests, told about that but also got no reaction. First time I couldn't shower properly on rented property and I stay different budget class hotels and have to be honest, budget class had better facilities vs price options...communication wise I guess owner doesn't understand English or it was some replacement for holiday week? Then I could understand uninterested treat and 0 answers , plus they didn't know know to ask my ID via WhatsApp or my phone nr and tried me to add their nr which didn't work and I indicated how booking com options for properties work and they can write me. But nothing, they never checked us in. I took photos of disasters in the flat in case they complain or Smtg and left tax money on desk as asked...but it was pretty crazy experience plus breakfast that is included was not an option as we had to fight with shower water going down ...so couldn't manage in time as it's on some bar not at the accommodation. If you don't want to ruin your vacation don't chose this place.

Location

False advertising. Our standard family room DID NOT HAVE - WiFi, fridge, minibar, balcony, cups or glasses, shampoo, bathrobe, outdoor furniture, satellite channels, radio, additional toilet, hand sanitisers. We had limited toilet paper, watered down handwash, hot water only in evening, shower filled with water and there is no overflow drain outside the shower, a kettle without cups. We immediately opened the windows for fresh air because of the highly fragrant air freshener. Very hard to find then when inside the foyer we had no idea where to go. My husband googled Santuary rooms number, who hung then tx back the floor and the code to get in with our room number, keys already there, and to leave city tax in desk where breakfast vouchers were. We thought we were in th wrong room and tx him back also ask for cups and WiFi. He/someone left 2cups the next day and took money. The room wasn't serviced. This place could be great if the owner hires a manager with a passion for tourism.

We've asked for an early check-in and received a positive answer. When we arrived, no one was there, a couple of rooms were open and visibly had not been cleaned yet. We tried to contact someone, it was only possible via booking.com and therefore very slow. Then other guests arrived and called. Then the cleaning lady arrived who didn't speak a single word of English. But she gave us the beforehand promised vouchers for breakfast (we were promised a 'healthy breakfast' next door, the only healthy food we could find was orange juice, no one spoke English and we had to pay extra as there seemed to be a budget on the vouchers but no one could explain it to us). We then went away, and when we came back the rooms were made. But we never had warm water in the shower nor did we have access to the wifi in the room.
