The Angel Inn, Petworth

Everything! Central location. Historic stay. Great service. Well-appointed & comfortable room. Good food.

Some meals had potatoes/chips/mash etc included, whereas others had to be ordered as a side and had to pay extra?! Made for an expensive meal. However, food was excellent.

Lovely old pub with lots of character. Ideally positioned for exploring the house and village of Petworth.

Could have done with chair in bedroom.

The Angel is a beautiful old inn and superbly located in Petworth, an area of outstanding beauty.

The central position and free car parking.

comfortable bed. breakfast was of the highest quality and all the staff excellent. Bedroom had nice tall ceilings

2 steps getting into ensuite bathroom made access more difficult. Lack of bedroom chairs made sitting more difficult.

The room was a good size and was very quiet at night. The pub evening meal was good and the breakfast was great. After arriving at lunchtime to find the car park full it soon emptied and space was available for the rest of the day.

It was close to the town centre, so convenient to explore. The breakfast was good.

The heating was not on early morning, so room was cold. The evening menu was very restricting and dishes were not available from the menu. Bathroom sink did not drain properly.
