Best Western Plus The Charles Hotel

The pictures are not the same as in person, it was ok but definitely not as nice as the pictures and a certain front desk guy not that nice or friendly

Easy check-in and out. Staff very friendly. Rooms nice sized and clean.

Stayed here for a soccer tournament, and i would never go back, neither would I recommend it. This place was horrible. There was an awful smell as soon as you walk in, very outdated, rooms either have a musty odor to them or a cigarette smell. My room had dog hair all over the carpet, it was all over our socks our clothes, everything. Staff was not nice. Our bathroom even had mold, and sink wasn't working!

Room smelled. Microwave broke. Had to have maintained fix. Inconvenience to our privacy.

They called and told me my jets don't work in my tubs room. I was understanding and was like can I just get a discount and they said no. So I ask if I could just check in earlier and they said yes. But when I got there I could not. Some one was in the room and they lied. And they had roaches in the ice room.

Breakfast was fair to good. Price of room was good.

Did not sleep well. Blanket was too heavy and warm. Temperature went in the room vacillated and went from too cool to too warm all night long. The air conditioner unit was loud and every time it turned on or off it woke me. Also the he staff at the front desk were curt and unhelpful. The woman would not get up to show us where things were - instead she pointed and said if you walk that way you will find out. The man at the front desk was listening to headphones and had his eyes closed and his head down. He did not respond to our questions and did not appear to hear us. He eventually “woke up” and also pointed toward the work out area and grunted something . When we found the exert room (it was very small and inside the pool area), there was a sign on the door that said it was temporarily out of service. The employees either did not know this or were too disinterested or distracted to tell us.

Bathroom was not clean. I had to clean off the toilet and there was hair in the shower and on the floor.
