Camp Elim

The staff were accommodating and allowed me and my family to check in on Christmas Day. The cabin we stayed in was right across the lake and we had amazing views from every room! Our son also met and played with other children staying there also, so it was truly enjoyable for all! Its also a short drive to all the good surf spots.

The location.

There were hammocks by the lake, we sat on them for few minutes when a girl approached us and told us they were private. She was nice about it but we felt bad because we didn’t know. Wish we were told about what was private and what was public use.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Elim. We needed somewhere to stay the night in the area that was cheap. Not only was this place cheap but was in an excellent location. The camp grounds is right on the water and our cabin had views of it. Staff were helpful and friendly. It is not made very clear on Booking.com that this is a dry site. You are not allowed to have any alcohol on the property at all. I think this should be in big bold writing at the top of the listing. We still would have stayed her knowing before hand but it was annoying that we were celebrating something and we had to go else where to drink our champers. Also Linen is ticked on the facilities however this is not actually provided. You either need to bring your own or hire some.

The property didn’t have a tv to sit back and relax. And needed better cleaning done in the unit.

I loved the views, the cleanliness of the facilities, the beauty of the grounds.

I have not enjoyed the fact that I am continuing to recieve several emails a day asking me to review my stay. I do realize that they are from Booking.com but they are becoming quite annoying. I have now received about 200 emails. And they continue.
