"Fabulous country pub/hotel"

Everything! Our room was so quaint, beautiful and super clean. The large shower was very powerful. The location was perfect and we did a couple of long walks around the local area. The staff and locals were very friendly. Just an amazing place.

Certainly met expectations. Staff were excellent. Room was spacious and well appointed. Had 2 meals in the restaurant and both were of good quality. Very satisfied

Car parking is quite tight as it is a popular pub. Breakfast starts at 8:30am which might be a bit late for many. Access to rooms is up stairs and might be difficult for some

Perfect overnight stay whilst working locally. Good parking, warm welcome and super clean and comfy accommodation for a great night's sleep. The in-room continental breakfast was a perfect start to the day. I appreciated the flexibility to depart fairly early. Recommend without hesitation.

"Red lion at Hellidon."

Great location , lovely old pub serving really good food . Friendly staff, and rooms were warm and cosy . Nice amont of tea and coffee in the room , a fridge too. Lovely cooked breakfast at weekends . Beautiful countryside location close to Daventry, Northampton, Rugby and Banbury .

The furniture in the bedroom needed a freshen up (paint) and the mattress was a little firm for me . But they were minor things in an overall very comfy and welcoming location.

"A real Gem, with great staff, service and food"

We re-found this place last summer (used to go a lot of years ago then moved away) and sat out in the lovely front secure garden . We have since been back on many occassions, sometimes just because we fancy a meal out and also for a few special occassions, including last night for a relatives birthday. There is always a great welcome, (especially by Jess) there is a homely, friendly feel and the food and service is always spot on. Thank you again for another wonderful evening. Helen
