Hyatt Place Cincinnati Blue Ash

My stay was great, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I love the in room body wash was GREAT! My bed was comfortable and the pillows are firm.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the renaissance fair for me and my family. I'm a top tier member with Hyatt and having stayed at plenty of Hyatt Place hotels I figured they were all pretty much the same. Sadly, I was wrong. The front desk always had either zero or one person there including when we checked in on Saturday night. I was very surprised as 2-3 people to check people in, take care of problems, and handle the bar/food area is the norm. In our stay of two nights we always saw one of two young men who, while pleasant overall, were severely lacking in English skills and the ability to address questions or problems. I will say that the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the blackout curtains did their job. Normally that's all you think about but I guess you really do get used to certain standards and miss them if they're unavailable. Breakfast seemed okay from what I could tell but that was tough because none of the foods were replenished so they were out of most things. I ended up making a breakfast of sausage and the last of the apple juice (orange was out). The woman in front of me asked about bagels and was ignored until she went back a half hour later and was told the hotel had no more. That pretty much epitomizes the whole breakfast experience. Our room had a brochure with the standard hot food items you can order from the bar area. I've eaten lots of these things many times and they're pretty good. The problem was that this hotel didn't bother offering the items on their menu. Likewise the fresh baked cookies that are standard fare at HP hotels were absent, with only chips and candy bars to eat. Why advertise something you know you're not going to provide? The biggest problem was that one of our rooms had no hot water on the first morning (the second was fine). I went to the front desk to inquire about this problem but the young man there was unable to answer my questions about whether this was normal, what could they do, was there an expected time to fix this, and whether it was the entire second floor or only our room. The man understood "no hot water" but simply said that they could switch the room to another at 3:00 PM. We would be gone all day so that was no help at all. We just decided to tough it out rather than having a lot more delays by all taking turns in one room's shower. When we returned at 8:00 PM the hot water had been restored so we were in better spirits. The next morning the hot water on the second floor had stopped working again. Having bathed the night before we once again did not all bathe as the cold water seemed unappealing. I mentioned this at checkout but did not receive so much as an apology. There were a number of small secondary problems that for a normal stay would seem bigger but with the issues this hotel has they have bigger fish to fry. I looked into the office periodically during our stay to see if I could spot a manager to discuss the shortcomings of our stay but unsurprisingly no manager was ever visible. No hotel stay is ever perfect. I was not expecting perfection. I do, however, think that following brand standards is both expected and policy for a franchise. That's the reason people choose a company: because they know what to expect. In this case the Hyatt Pace Blue Ash failed miserably. If this had been my first Hyatt Place stay I would simply never go to any of them, thinking they were all this bad.

My overall experience was excellent. The hotel was very clean. The staff was amazing. Wonderfully prepared breakfast. I recommend this Hotel

One of the worst hotel stay I have ever endured. The rooms were disgustingly dirty. Mold and filth in the shower. Glassware was not cleaned. Everything about the room and hotel felt really dirty. It was like a frat party when through there.

Friendly staff, very clean establishment. Rooms are big and maintained very well. Definitely looking forward to staying there again.
