The Georgian Terrace Hotel

Elegant hotel. With nice restaurant and bar including an additional bar in the basement. Convenient to the Fox Theater. Clean and cozy rooms.

The location is fantastic, especially if you are seeing a show at the fox theatre

My brother and his new wife had a beautiful wedding at this hotel. The wedding was incredible, no complaints about the event at all! We stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen with our two kids. The night we arrived, the air conditioning was not working. We were told to text the front desk any time so I did that twice and received no response. When I texted that I changed the batteries myself in the thermostat they then responded that they were glad the issue was resolved. The kitchen is extremely dated and did not have any soap, dish detergent, or towels so I am not confident that any of the dishes had actually been cleaned. The kitchen looked nothing like the website photos. There is also a washer and dryer, but no detergent. We were given one roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 3.5 days and had to go to the front desk where they were reluctant to give us another roll. Our room was never offered any type of housekeeping, towels, etc. The website says the beds are queen, but I really question that. At the very least, the sheets are too small for the bed and pop off at the corners ALL NIGHT. This hotel has a lot of potential but for the price the quality and service just isn't where it should be.

Check in process was horrible. I understand that it was the weekend, prom season & there was a prom being held at the hotel this weekend, but because of all the heavy traffic expected, I would be believe that the hotel would be better prepared. There was only one attendant working the front desk at our arrival. We waited in line for almost 20 minutes with other guests before someone came to assist. Once we were checked our kitchen area was in major need of upgrades. The floor panels were buckling up and appliances were very outdated. Valet services was in chaos I do believe they tried the best that they could to accommodate guest due to over crowding with prom traffic. Overall stay was nice but not the best I have had compared to previous stays.

I traveled for a wedding which was at the Georgian Terrace. And while the wedding block rate was reasonable, there was no response to my request for a late check out on Saturday (I had booked Saturday night as well because we had a late flight Saturday night). Instead I paid the whole rate even though I checked out at 8pm on Saturday instead of 11am on Sunday. I was disappointed that I could not be accommodated.

Everyone was extremely nice and very accommodating. However, I stayed two nights and housekeeping never came to tend to the room.

This was the second time I've stayed at the Georgian Terrace. I must say it didn't go well. It started out by having have issues at check-in. Because there was a lot going on, the line was very long for two folks to handle. Folks would go right up to the desk, and instead of sending back to the line they would be helped. When I say that was a lot going on, two proms and two huge concerts, there were teenage running up the halls all hours of the night. My biggest issue was in the bar. My service was not the best, and I had to wait ten minutes for my change. I was told there was no change in a hotel that size. Right. I think it was because I had complained about the automatic 18% gratuities that had been added to my bill. If there had been a large party, I would not have had an issue. I was by myself. As a frequent traveler and a former server, I don't have a problem tipping. When you add a tip and then want another on top there is a problem.
