El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel

Not having stayed in Mazatlan before, not having your fridge stocked when all inclusive was something new to me. Also, was never told we couldn't eat at the lunch area of El Cid El Moro (even tho we were staying there) b/c we were not ELITE all inclusive. El Cid Castilla buffet lunch & La Concha buffet dinner were terrible. Good luck trying to get dinner reservations at any of the ala carte restaurants that is before 8pm (guessing earlier times are for members). If staying in Mazatlan again, we'd get the European plan or stay at an Airbnb.

If you get the all invlusive you need to make all your reservations upon arrival. We did not and had trouble getting dinner reservations when we wanted. We did not recieve the room we paid for, thhe hotel said they were not available. Expedia did credit me the additional amount but this is something to be aware of. The waters at the pool sere 10 stars all tge way. Jorge, Martin, Marcos,amd the pthers were absolutely fantastic! We loved them. Rhe maids were great- one day we accidentally dropped cash on tge bed and the cleaner left a note for us. Such jonest service! Thank you Maria Ochoa! There were a few minor things we didnt care for but they were not deal breakers. I had someone take my beach towel while while we were at the beach and when i tried to get a replacement i had to wait 20 minutes for the pool concierge to come talk to me. He said that they dont give away towels so i would have to wIt for them to count yowels at the emd of the night and if an extra one tur ed up they would let me know, in the meantime i had to be without a towel. When i went the next day to adk i had to wait again for someone to ok the towel.

Outstanding customer service especially Verónica! The concierge for the elite club. Room service was outstanding and the grounds were great.

The hotel staff was amazing! So attentive, friendly and always made sure we were taken care of. The room was ok… the hot water took forever to come out, there were lots of days we had to shower with lukewarm water… The towels felt like sand paper… the tub would clog up as well. As far as dining, the food was delicious, lots of options to choose from. Overall would rate the hotel a solid 8/10.

did not like the empty property next door as our room faced that direction with the homeless encampment. Adult only pool needs to be heated. staff very good and friendly. food was good .

Treated bad and released from hotel

Honestly this hotel was pretty bad. It is so dated, it felt really dingy. The sheets were awful on the bed so I didn’t sleep well. We heard of people having cockroaches in their room. The buffets were pretty bad and it was impossible to get dinner reservations. The pool was excellent though!

Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, great staff and a beautiful location for a resort, would definitely recommend and will come back!
