El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel

The staff that served the pool deck and beach area were fantastic. The drinks and food were all good. The rooms were clean but outdated. The pool chairs were old and worn. In general the hotel is run down and in need of some updates. Some of the staff could be more helpful or friendlier. The kids loved the pool but beware, as I cut my toe on one of the tiles in the pool floor. The first-aid attendants cleaned me up and treated the cut. Not much else was done. They had "beach" voleyball that my family was a big fan of and the staff running the activities were great.If you do not have the all inclusive package, skip the buffet as the price is outrageous and though the food was okay, it wasn't worth the price. The beach was wonderful, and to have service of food and drink brought to you while the kids pay in the sand and in the waves was a highlight of the trip. Worth staying here just for the location.

Very walkable area, nice pools with easy beach access, good food, good service, We really enjoyed our stay there, it was 12 of us, didn’t hear any complaints!

The beds are terrible, including the pillows, which are super uncomfortable.

I love this hotel with all inclusive option, no need to go out everything is conveniently in resort

El cid Moro has something for everyone , families can hang at the pool or couples on the beach or hot tub. Service is excellent and rooms and views are great. Downside is the food. Don’t go with the all inclusive since you’ll sour on the quality. Instead wander around to Shekinah Beach Club or Chile Pepers or Diego’s for great meals.

This resort/hotel is beautiful, safe and great location. I booked a suite with ocean view and balcony which was perfect for myself. It was great I also had the all inclusive wristband. The only reason I will not give it a full 5 stars is because the employees who are serving you along the beach or the pool get very pushy with wanting to sell you alcohol bottles or yetii bottles. Once we refused to purchase, service completely stopped and would ignore our request. One server particularly got security involved saying I was sharing my drinks and food with my family members who did not have the wristband. Mind you we bought our own alcohol to have and made our drinks all of this because we didn't purchase anything from him. But he had no issue taking our tip money when we were serving him. Just be aware and don't fall for being upsold on anything. There's a beautiful grocery store across the way with everything you may need.

The experience/ view/amenities were great!

We loved the rooms, the service and the location! My only complaints would be that the buffet food is fairly cold - it was rare to eat a hot/warm meal. You literally had to try and grab from the back of the tray as everything mid to front was cold. The pool is pretty dang cold as well. The resort is exceptionally clean.

Room was wonderful, the food was good (not great) but better with other restaurants that were included with the inclusive. Very strict on time with food menus; not-impressed, if you came 20 minutes early for breakfast you needed to wait 20 minutes before you could eat….even when the food is all laid out in front of you!

Didn't like all the changes to the all inclusive package Will not be returning to this resort after many many many years of coming Thought it was very inappropriate to have children allowed at the swim up bar /pool area, so many kids were in that area we never got to go in and a cold drink. Need to make more adult only areas.....The kids were out of control and left us to have to deal with kids our whole trip, had to stay on the beach just to get some peace Wasnt
