The most overrated, “has been”, dingy hotel on the island. Came to inquire with my fiancé about a wedding, and when we toured the rooms, I was actually in shock of how much they charge for basically ripping off their guests. I felt like I stepped into the 1980s with nasty, old furniture that was torn up, and it smelled musty. Needless to say, we did not end up going there for our wedding. We had a drink at their sad lobby bar. The drinks were watered down and the service was horrific. No one was in there, no wonder. If you want an actual decent experience, go to Galvez or Tremont. The San Luis needs to be bulldozed at this point, it’s passed its prime, sadly.

Lacy and Joel at The Cove swim up bar exceeded our expectations!! They were both very attentive, willing to answer any of our questions, made sure we were taken care of, and did it all with a smile on their faces! We were so impressed, we waited to come back to the swim up bar at their shift change so we could be waited by them. If I could give more than 5 stars I would do it! They definitely deserve a huge raise and I will be recommending everyone to visit the resort and come see them! We will definitely be back! Thank you Joel and Lacy for being so nice, recommending dinner locations, and having casual conversations with us! We enjoyed yall so much!

After booking a two-night stay at the Grand Galvez, we canceled our reservation within an hour due to a very disappointing experience. We then booked a room at The San Luis Resort, and the difference was night and day. From the moment we arrived, the staff at The San Luis Resort made us feel genuinely welcome. The front desk agents were warm, professional, and attentive. After learning about the inconvenience we experienced at the other hotel, they even sent a thoughtful gift to our room, which was a wonderful gesture and greatly appreciated. Our room was exceptional, with beautiful ocean views and a spacious, comfortable layout. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The outstanding customer service, luxurious accommodations, and attention to detail made this a truly memorable experience. We would absolutely stay here again and give The San Luis Resort a well-deserved five-star rating.
