Spark by Hilton Bardstown

Reserved a two queen room for $187. At check-in was offered a King room. I asked if it would be at the same price as my reservation, and was told yes. Charged over $300 after tax. The hotel should not be open, it was in such disrepair via renovation. The hotel is switching from Hampton to Spark by Hilton. I'm assuming the owners will start with a clean slate so they don't care about bad reviews. Wouldn't consider staying at this property in the future due to awful business practice.

They are friendly. They have a great location. Its quiet

It was under remodel construction, but the managed that well

The property was under extensive construction, that’s why the 4 for cleanliness and condition. We didn’t know about the construction when we booked, but we did find out before we stayed. It would’ve been awful if we didn’t know ahead of time and arrived to such a mess. All else was great. We would stay there again. I believe it’s going to be wonderful once the construction is finished.

Not worth the money

Under construction 1 towel, no hairdryer, fire alarm went off, no orange juice, foid cold, filthy

Construction death zone. Nails in the hallway. Drywall everywhere. Dust. Floor is missing in lobby. Had to beg for a hairdryer. Do not stay here. This place is not a Hampton quality hotel. Embarrassing to Hilton. They should remove their franchise.

Decent stay. Hotel undergoing major renovation. First floor seemed closed to guests with reservations. Pool open. We stayed in newly renovated room on second floor. Nice. Clean. Lobby and breakfast area a bit of a mess with all of the work. Nice staff.

The place is under construction. People started working at 7 in the morning. There was dust everywhere. Plaster on the rugs everywhere. No hot water one day and no water the next day. The shower floor was slick and I had to put a towel down to keep from falling. I payed right at 600 dollars for this nightmare. Not sure I will use your service again.

Hampton Inn fails to tell you this place is a total mess. It is undergoing a total renovation and should not be renting rooms. Their website makes no mention of this fact. See my attached photos. The photo with the circled hallway is what Hampton wants you to believe the rooms look like. The photo of the hallway with no carpet and unpainted walls is what that hallway ACTUALLY looks like. Also there is no front desk or lobby as pictured on their website, instead the staff checks you in at folding table, that room has a cement floor and is not as pictured in that photo. And the hallway to the swimming pool is closed as well. The shipping container is the view from my window, not the wooded scenery as shown on their website of the hotel.
