Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center

Property is great. Clean. Well taken care of. Secluded.

Really wish everything was always working but part of ladies spa wasn’t operational.

The heater didn’t work. The heater we turned up to 78 and the higher the temperature the colder it got. We ended up just turning it off because it was freezing. The hair dryer needs to be thrown in the trash! The walls are super thin and you can hear everything.

Loved the pools (even though it was cool and on and off stormy), the sweet shop, the lakeside views, the room was overall comfortable, my daughter loved the elevator, enjoyed the restaurant with balcony seating, staff was super friendly loved the checkins via text

Paying for parking, movie theater should play more kids shows throughout the day, the carpet under the coffee table was crusty and probably all the carpets/drapes need replaced, tv needs to be a smart TV at this point, rooms need a microwave

Convention centre was not staffed to accommodate the 800 people coming (booked wrll in advance). On many nights, i was turned away and went to bed hungry--as early as 7pm. The kitchen was overwhelmed and was unable to serve dinner to patrons waiting over an hour for food. Hours posted were ignored, and the nearest restaurant was too far to walk to. Bartenders, hostesses, and coffee shop workers were pleasant and tried their best--this is a managerial/staffing issue. One chef in the kitchen for everyone is not acceptable. Prices at the restaurant and room rates did not match the quality received. Maids only provided garbage and linen changes/did not clean rooms, even after requests were sent.

This is located in an area with a wonderful view of the lake, if you get the right room. It has a nice decor both in the lobby and room. For a lake view room, the price is fair but doesn’t make up for how clean the room was. The bathroom had hair around the sink, a used bar of soap in the shower, and some towels that had been used for 2 days were rehung by housekeeping.

No microwave in room. Advertised Grill was not open and staff didn’t have information when it would be open. You have to leave the resort to eat unless you want overpriced fine dining. Parking fees should be included in resort fee.

If the room lacks anything the staff, especially Aubrey Guidry. She went above and beyond. I would like it if they would get a microwave for everyone to use. They do charge $10 a day for parking. There's beautiful scenery, and it wasn't until our last day we found out we would have been able to fish.

Our king room was spacious and comfortable. Large bathroom was a bonus. All rooms have a balcony with seating . I recommend bringing your own pillow! I only had one complaint with the dining room. We went for breakfast which is served til 10:30am. It was 10:15 and the lady refused us. There was plenty of food left ad it's a buffet breakfast. That pissed me off quite a bit Wed morning. The room had a pod style coffee pot so you can bring extra pods with you. A spacious mini fridge but no freezer inside. Bring your own blow dryer as you can't regulate the heat on the one they provide . Front desk staff and door staff wre great and helpful. Indoor and outdoor pools very well kept as well as hot tub. We didn't get a chance to experience the on site spa. Having access within walking distance to the lake was an added bonus!. We even saw a playground for children on site.
