Gooderson Dumazulu Lodge & Traditional Village

The accommodation seemed okay at first glance but it is unfortunately very bad .

Rats in the unit so we did not sleep a wink. Showers not working properly. It was terrible

It was a good stop over not too far off. Enjoyed the dinner and breakfast and fnb staff were very good.

Rooms was not ready and checked in after 4pm.

Staff were friendly

Road to the property was poor. Car park is far from units and difficult to move luggage etc from car to the room. Rooms were dirty, bugs and lizzard droppings on the bed, rat in the room, poor lighting inside the room

Tranquility and the local music being played at the bar, a lot of activities, dinner and breakfast being included in the price was awesome, I wasn't even aware.

The toilet needs to be changed, it's old and it has permanent ugly stains. I didn't like that there are no tv's in the rooms.

Die Lage ist super und ideal für Ausflüge. Wir haben den Schlangenpark sowie das Zulu-Village besucht, was sehr interessant und sehenswert war. Besonders gefallen haben uns die schön und unterschiedlich gestalteten Häuser, die der Anlage einen besonderen Charme verleihen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam

Das Essen wurde jeweils erst eine halbe Stunde später serviert, was jedoch kein großes Problem war – schließlich haben wir Urlaub :)

Location is central to most points of interest in the area. The cleaning staff are really fantastic, friendly and helpful. The grounds/internal space to the lodges are peaceful and serene.

The front desk staff severely lack customer relationship management. Basic communication such as understanding the difference between a facility vs activity lacks. Facilities are run down and structurally compromised. As an example the platform from the lodge to the curio shop is rotting and unstable. The grass in the snake/croc park is overgrown and neglected. The establishment has so much potential to attract local and international visitors.

Rooms were clean and neat

The bar and curio shop were closed. Does not make sense for the holiday season and guests have checked in.
