Loved the setting. Each house decorated in a different tibe's style. Rooms clean and spacious. Priced for food at the rrstaurant very affordable. Beautiful gardens. Quiet en tranquil. Staff friendly and very helpful. People looking for value for money will be plesssnly surprised by the lodge.

Price for the buffet a bit steep, but you could still order from the menu. More items can be added to the menu

Reception did not brief us on the before/after hours exit procedure i.e main gate code Reception was unavailable at 07:00 also no phone contact for urgent need I had to contact Bushlands reception for assistance

Easy to find, just off the N2 so good for a stop over. There was ample parking. The different styles and outside decor of the cottages positioned in a circle around the central garden/grass area was interesting and quite fun. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable and large enough for 2. Overall seemed fairly clean. We didn't use the pool. The wifi worked well in the cottage and the restaurant area. The dining area was nice and staff friendly. The buffet dinner was good with several choices and nice to have some local accompaniments like pap. Breakfast was great with wide choice of eggs, bacon, and sausages, yoghurt, toast, muffins, fruit juice and tea and coffee. The dinner, bed and breakfast package was good value for money

The staff at reception could have been more helpful - no information was given about the other activities at the lodge like the snake farm or local safaris. Although advertised as a traditional Zulu village on their website, we saw no evidence of this. It would have been nice to have a couple of chairs in the bedroom to sit on. It is quite a long walk along a boardwalk from the chalets to the restaurant area, which could be a problem for those with restricted mobility and was not mentioned anywhere. This could also be quite slippery if wet.

The restaurant is far for me n bar. I would not drink n walk on these steps with Crocodiles surrounding it

Staff were friend and very helpful. Accomodation was very neat and clean. Grounds were very well kept. It was a unigue experience!
