Everything went well. I had no complaints.

This hotel is in an ideal location for a Newport holiday. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The historical district is nearby. The bus and trolley stop is close. The pool is a nice temperature. The only misgiving I have is that the room was a bit musty smelling.

Our experience was fine except for the $35 convenience fee they charge at checkout. I asked what it was for and they said for internet and the free waters they gave us in the room. The waters aren’t free if they charged $35. I didn’t even use their internet. Very disappointed in this policy after paying so much for the room and parking.

Plus - could really walk and explore the many streets of Newport from location. The hotel itself is a tired, low service Hotel

Very disappointing. It’s a very old hotel that needs to be upgraded. Way overpriced. We asked for our room to be cleaned. They said they don’t do that mid stay.

Stayed here for my wedding weekend and was disappointed by how outdated everything was. The curtains had holes in them and the carpet was stained. Our waterfront room (which we paid significantly more money for) had a faulty door that did not shut all the way. Despite this, the location of the hotel is impeccable and can't be beat. Michael Scott was extremely kind and helpful and our rehearsal dinner went off without a hitch thanks to Robyn Chapman. Our stay was made by the fact that we were with family and friends for our wedding, but overall I would not stay here again based on the outdated aesthetic and price for what you get.

For the price paid for our corporate event at the Newport Hotel and Marina in Newport, RI, I was extremely disappointed. The conference room assigned to us was too small for our group, which made sessions feel cramped and unprofessional. Despite communicating dietary needs in advance, food allergy requests were not taken into consideration, putting some attendees in an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe position. On top of that, providing drink tickets instead of proper hosted service came across as cheap and not in line with the image a corporate event should project. My guest room experience was equally unsatisfactory. The room was uncomfortably hot, the air conditioning did not work, and the issue was neither fixed nor meaningfully addressed during my stay. The bed was lumpy, lacked support, and offered a poor night’s sleep, while the pillows were flat and ineffective. Overall, the property fell far short of expectations for a corporate event venue, and I would hesitate to recommend it to colleagues or clients.

The location is amazing.we chose the property for it. The staff was lovely.

Outdated. Needs a refresh. Bathroom faucet was loose and the insert on the bathtub was not properly affixed so you felt as though you were showering on a bubble. The furniture in the room although clean was outdated and sparse.. our room was missing either a chair or an ottoman as other rooms had that feature.. the TV was also old and the mechanics in how it was hooked up to the wall switch was a bit odd..
