Had some water on the walkways to your room and the pillows were a little to soft. It takes a bit to long to get the rooms at check in, at least if that's the issue they should accomidate with a late check out.

Food was not great at all, you pay for all inclusive but you have to pay for liquor such as Tito’s, patron and regular stuff. ALL INCLUSIVE MEANS EVERYTHING INCLUDED !I booked 2 beds and paid extra and got to our room and it was one bed then told me I had to go on a list which is ridiculous booking this in advance! None of this information was told to me before swiping my card. I then told them to void the transaction. I would stay in a hotel and they said that it was nonrefundable complete waste of time I couldn’t wait to leave. Once we left the property Grenada was great but definitely got a lot of the same bad reviews of Royalton once spoken to other tourist and locals ! Never again. I will be requesting a refund from my bank. Buffet was American nothing authentic that you would expect. Staff was good but not worth $1100 for 2 days

The weather and crime rate is low

Came for my birthday. Never been here. They charged my cc twice for the same room. I was ENDURED that the pending amount would just "drop off." It was pending 3 days prior to my arrival. My card was charged again because of the pending amount and "it wasnt received." The next morning, Tuesday, both amounts CLEARED AND POSTED to my account. Now, nobody knows why it happened and my refund "should take 3-5 business days. They didn't know if I had that amount on my card or not. That put a REALLY bad taste in my mouth because it seems fishy to me! I had to also reach out to my bank! The room service takes about 2 hours plus although they said it'll take 45 mins. Put in an order once, called back 2 hours later and they said they never got that order. Great. Then ran outta food. I don't eat meat but they ran outta veggie burgers bare minimum 2 days. Food Definitely isn't the best. Not a big food selection. Only one buffet with "ok" food. The other restaurants had to reservations and u had to book 2 days prior at least. When we finally gotta reservation at one of them, it wasnt even crowded. At all to even have "reservations." Most of the staff were nice and helpful. MOST. Oh and it was small ants in the rooms. Refrigerator wasnt that cold. The swim up bar wasnt open either. Not the Birthday trip I expected. By far.

We were married here 25 years ago and have said since we were married that we'd come back if we made it to 25 years, so we did. Hotel hasn't changed too much but has been refurbished. Beach is beautiful and sun loungers on the beach are good. Didn't have too much trouble finding somewhere to while the day away. Some of the entertainment was excellent e.g. the fire show. Anything the company that did the fire show did was really very good, think they did things on three nights per week. Our room was very comfortable and very well maintained by Nadine.. Mini-bar was re-stocked daily with no issues, even catering for my diabetic wife.

Not much to do other than sit on the beach or by the pool and swim but we knew that before we got there. A pool table, tennis table etc. might be good. "Sports Bar" advertised isn't really a Sports Bar, just a bar with some TV's that shows sport from mainstream TV if it's on. Entertainment was hit and miss - not much during the day time and some of the evening entertainment wasn't great other than the fire show. Food was also intermittent, breakfast buffet was great and thanks go to to the ladies at the omelette station. Dinner in the "specialty restaurants" was ponderous at best and the food portions were extremely small. No mention of the ability to order sides to help bulk it out a bit. Taj was very poor for service and food, Ma Maison was poor for service and food was middling (awful french onion soup that might as well have been a bowl of hot water). Grazie was good for food, portion sizes weren't great but service was very good. We ate in the Buffet Restaurant for one night and it was OK but nothing to write home about. What disappointed me most was telling Royalton on several occasions before we arrived and while we were there that we were celebrating our anniversary, and that we were actually married at the hotel, but zero acknowledgement of it. That was a real disappointment !

The scene was very lovely and picturesque.

The check in was too long, after doing a pre-check in online, I expected to be in my room at least half hour after getting there, but no, it took us almost 3 hours or so. Plus they said a bell man would take us to the room, but not knowing we had to walk a long distance pulling my suitcase up a hill. No boogy or anything to take you there, had to still climb three floors, no elevator, finally got to the room, which was ok. We decided to order a snack. Oh boy!! that was the worst presentation, taste and smell of any type of food I ever hard, one of the worst ever. Trust me, I have been to Royalton before and it was a much never so bad. Guest the standard drop poorly. Will never go back there.

Location - fabulous.

Lack of attentive service in the main restaurant. Particularly for single people. Lack of labelling of food. You need to know what you’re eating. Lack of menus on the bars. Room not cleaned one day. Lack of removal of towels reserving sunbeds. Lack of sun shades at pools. Evening entertainment poor.

The bed was comfortable that’s about it.

The staff was unaccommodating. If you had an issue which we did it won’t be solved or will take over 24hrs. We reserved 2 rooms because we were with our children and asked for connecting rooms. When we arrived only one room was ready, when the other room was ready it was on a completely different floor. I said that wouldn’t work. Each time they instructed us to talk to “guest services”. Everyone behind the check-in counter has the same level and same job description/position—no one seems to have the authority to make any decisions. Guest services repeatedly said, “I’ll be right back,” but often never returned—or did so much later with no resolution. We wound up cutting our vacation short. It’s the first time in my life I’ve ever done that.
