Carpenters Cottages

Location was great and the host was very pleasant.

We didn't find the beds very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were a little tired. There was quite a bit of noise from the people in the flat above.

Light, spacious, comfy, very friendly staff, great food in pub next door.

The location was excellent and the apartment spacious adjoining the pub where the service and food was excellent

Spacious with enough amenities. Was cold on arrival but the heating was really good and came on quickly and warmed the entirety of the property. Generally tidy. Well priced for the size of the property.

Could do with a deeper clean - hairs in bath, toilet and bedding, cobwebs around all the windows, dog hairs all over the sofa which transferred to our clothes, limescale/rust in toilet bowl of en-suite. No allocated parking for guests of the cottages and when the pub is busy it is difficult to find a suitable parking spot. The garden to the pub was at the front of the property and so the noise was relatively loud during the night too. Didn’t expect to have to use metal stairs to enter the property, not ideal when it was really rainy as it made it very slippery.

HORRIBLE HARD SCRATCHY TOWELS PROVIDED NO HAND TOWELS ONLY BATH SHEETS ONLY ONE TEA TOWEL PROVODED BECAUSE WE ARE ELDERLY COULD NOT USE SHOWER NO WHERE TO PUT TOILETRIES NOT SAFE TO GO FOR A WALK HAD TO DRIVE EVERYWHERE DEFINITELY NEED A CAR DIFFICULT TO ACESS GARDEN STEEP STEPS GARDEN FURNITURE NEEDS UPGRADING

Excellent place to stay. Great value for money. Very spacious accommodation and easy to find. Host was amazing! Very accommodating and went above and beyond for us on our stay! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

adjacent to a pub which sold very good food and had friendly staff and customers. the property was ideal for 4 people with ample parking outside. it was a 15 minute drive to monmouth and chepstow.
