Room needed work , paint peeling on roof and wall , bathroom floor needs repair, phone in room missing corn so couldn’t call to office, no water pressure in shower and tub faucet needed tighten, toilet paper insert kept falling out of wall

Great location. Everything you could need is within walking distance. Gas stations right there. Easy off easy on I-95. Only sad thing was Angelo's restaurant is closed on the night I was there.

Rooms are starting to show their age. Not dirty, just a bit worn

The room was a very good value for the price. It was clean. It’s located near several beaches and we went to Fernandina Beach twice. There are several restaurants nearby. The staff was excellent, from the gentleman who checked us in after the red roof inn app had a glitch, to the ladies who gave us extra towels (there were only 2 in the room and we had 4 people) and a hairdryer to use (the one in the room was broken) Even the housekeeper was very nice and understanding when we overslept and needed a few extra minutes to check out. Some things that could be improved: The beds seemed a little old and uncomfortable (but I have a nice memory foam bed at home so I could just be spoiled!) The door was hard to open from both the inside and outside and looked like the cops had broken into the room in the past. There was a hole in one of the walls by one of the beds that was pretty substantial. But none of those things were dealbreakers and we were very satisfied with our stay. We were a group of women and we felt safe our entire stay. The pool looked inviting, even though we didn’t use it and the free breakfast looked very good as well, even though we didn’t eat there. Pros: EXCELLENT staff! They were all super nice, helpful and friendly! Great location! Great value! Plenty of parking. We felt safe, even walking around at 3 am! Keep in mind that this is a more budget friendly motel, so if you are expecting 5 star accommodation you will probably be disappointed. But if you need a safe place to stay, it’s a great value and we were (obviously) more than satisfied.

Thank goodness I had a gallon of bleach in my car! This place was by far one of the most disgusting places I had ever seen. I got there late at night, so going anywhere else wasn’t an option right away, as I was way too tired to be driving. I almost slept in my car once I saw how misleading the photos and reviews were.
