Hampton Inn Laurinburg

Hotel was really old & alot of the fixtures looked old. There was also an odor that agitated my sinuses. Front desk stay was nice.

I generally stay in lower priced chains and look for good reviews. The area can be sketchy so I figured I'd spring for better option than the typical motel/hotels. Wrong. Don't waste your money here, there are lower priced options that are better. Hallways and lobby are nice. Peeling wallpaper in the bath and sitting room, cracked ceilings in the bath, a broken and poorly repaired shower surround, really rough sheetrock patches in the bathroom and a tub that didn't drain properly. Carpeting was quite dirty as attested to by the white socks I was wearing. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to walk around the room in bare feet. The room was old, tired and not well maintained. Even the USB charging ports didn't work properly. And unless you are a member of their "club", you may have to pay for wifi. WTH? So much for the vaunted reputation of Hampton Inns. We do much better in other brands' properties for 3/4 of the price.

The area was nasty. The breakfast was not so good and did not keep the food court stocked very well. The pool was not open and I am sure had not been open all year. It was nasty green. Would not stay at this motel again. When we booked we did so because of the grandkids that booked a room here also. Kids always want to swim and they were very disappointed also.

Probably one of the worse hotel experiences I have ever had! Room was filthy, staff was absolutely terrible when you could find someone. The room smelled , hotel smelled, the staff was rarely around when they were they were not helpful. When checking in the lady at the front had no idea how to look up my Hilton honors and we were offered no water for being Hilton honor members.. first time ever. Towels were dirty, pillows, and blankets were dingy… we went to car and got our own pillows. Bathroom was gross,. On the one housekeeping day we received all they did was change the trash and gave us more ( not so clean) towels. The only reason we didn’t leave when we got there is because we were in town for a race and there was no where else to stay. We used to stop here on the way to the beach and it was a decent hotel. It no longer is and we will never be back. No one asked how are stay was so I didn’t say anything when I left. Also it was Labor Day weekend and 85 degrees and there was no water in the pool.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This place is a total dump. Stayed this weekend for a family reunion and the accommodations were atrocious. Pool closed, toilet ran ALL WEEKEND, dirty floors and furniture, and above all else, piss poor customer service. Take your money elsewhere and thank me later.
